It sounds weird, we know. And before continuing, it is worth mentioning that the opinions of the sexiest audio animatronics don’t come from this writer – or any of the DisneyDining staff.

Since 1985, People Magazine has released rankings of the world’s sexiest men. Modern winners of the honor include Chris Evans (Captain America) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man). Coincidentally, many of them have been turned into audio animatronics at theme parks by Disney Imagineers. Don’t believe us? Take a look

Harrison Ford / Indiana Jones

Named the Sexiest Man Alive of 1998, Harrison Ford was at the height of his career in the 1990s. Coming off of the success of the Star Wars franchise and Indiana Jones trilogy, he was also starring in many other films incluing the Fugitive (1993), Clear and Present Danger (1994), and Air Force One (1997).

To see an audio animatronic pop up of him at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort was not surprising. Although his likeness no longer exists at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (it was on the former The Great Movie Ride), the audio animatronic of the whip-wielding hero can still be spotted at Disneyland Park on Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

Johnny Depp / Captain Jack Sparrow

Captain Jack Sparrow showing up on this list should be no surprise to anyone. Johnny Depp was given the title of Sexiest Man Alive by People in both 2003 among the hype of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, as well as in 2009 after playing John Dillinger in Public Enemies (2009).

In between these two noteworthy honors bestowed by People Magazine, Captain Jack Sparrow was added to Pirates of the Caribbean by Walt Disney Imagineering at Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park. And of course, Johnny Depp was more than willing to aid in ensuring his likeness was captured correctly.

Barrack Obama

Although not an official “winner” of Sexiest Man Award, former president Barrack Obama did secure spot at number 39 in 2009. And of course, an audio animatronic featuring his likeness exists in Magic Kingdom’s Hall of Presidents.

Adam Driver / Kylo Ren

A runner up in 2021 as Sexiest Man Alive was none other than the actor who played Kylo Ren in three Star Wars films.

John Boyega / Finn

Another Star Wars alum like Harrison Ford and Adam Driver. However, this actor who portrayed Finn throughout the most recent Star Wars movies received runner-up status in 2015 (oddly enough behind Oscar Isaac, who played Poe Dameron in Star Wars).

Admittedly, someone being attractive does not necessarily equate to Disney developing an attractive audio animatronic. But that minor detail aside, do you agree/disagree with these choices?

Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story… More »
