In a surprising turn of events, it is being reported that the actor Johnny Depp is open to working with the Walt Disney Company in the future on a film project. Many fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are thrilled at the possibility of their beloved Captain Jack Sparrow returning for a sixth installment.
However, some Johnny Depp fans are very against this potential reunion and are taking the opportunity to speak their minds.

Is Johnny Depp Open to Healing His Relationship With Disney?
Just a couple of days ago, it was reported to PEOPLE magazine that Depp was open to the possibility of working with Disney once more. The insider is quoted saying, “Anything is possible. If it’s the right project, he’ll do it.”
This news comes as a relief to fans of the beloved character who were unsure whether Depp would reprise his iconic role after the fallout from his highly publicized legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. The saga between Depp and Heard, which unfolded in a highly public defamation trial, garnered immense attention from both tabloids and mainstream news outlets alike. Numerous allegations were made, and the court case shone a spotlight on the personal lives of the former couple.
Despite the damaging effect the trial had on Depp’s reputation, fans remained hopeful for his return as the charismatic pirate. The fact that Depp is open to working with Disney again is a huge step closer to getting the sixth Pirates movie that people want badly.

“Disney Doesn’t Deserve Him”
However, many Depp fans are not excited by this news at all.
In the heat of the Depp vs. Heard trial, Disney didn’t stand by Johnny Depp as many of his fans hoped the company would. Despite Depp being one of Disney’s most popular actors and bringing the studio in around $4.5 billion, Disney cut ties when his name was brought into the case.
The defamation lawsuit significantly tarnished Depp’s reputation as one of Hollywood’s most prolific actors. It has taken years for him to find work, but now doors are finally beginning to open for the actor again. Many fans feel that Depp returning to Disney would be a bad move because of Disney’s past “betrayal” of the actor. Fans took to Twitter to air out their concerns.
