Disney World is starting to fall apart!
Walt Disney World is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” The most magical aspect of Disney World is its attention to detail and commitment to storytelling. Everywhere you look, there are intricate theming and hidden details or Hidden Mickeys.
Disney World is home to four theme parks: EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In addition to the theme parks, Disney World also features two water parks: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach.
Disney World sees thousands of Guests daily. With this amount of traffic at the theme park, wear and tear is typical for any attraction, show, or entertainment offering. Disney Cast Members do their best to keep Disney looking magical, clean, and a safe place for Guests.
Guests at Disney World have noticed that a certain area is starting to “fall apart.” Guests have seen mold, mildew, and holes at other parts of the Parks before, and now if Guests look up where the Monorail runs, concrete is missing. Scott Gustin tweeted a photo showing the patch that Disney has done for the support beams on the monorail. Disney Dining has been following the reports about this support beam.

Many Disney Park Guests have wondered, with the concrete breaking under the Monorail, will Disney need to repair soon the bridges that hold up the monorail? Nothing has been confirmed, but it seems that this patch is all that will be needed for the monorail to continue safely.
One thing is certain: The monorail would not be operating if it weren’t safe to do so, so there’s no need to worry!
The monorail offers a unique and convenient way for Guests to travel between the different parks and resorts at Disney World. Disney World Guests can use Disney’s busses, ferryboats, water taxis, Skyliner, and monorail to get from Park to Park.
The monorail travels through different Disney Resorts, so Guests staying there can have easy access to the monorail system. The monorail system is comprised of a series of trains that are powered by electricity and run on a beam that is elevated above the ground. This way of transportation has been around since 1971, the same time when Magic Kingdom was opened! Disney World does have closures on the monorail for repairs, refurbishment, and any updates needed.
Disney World is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves entertainment, adventure, and, of course, Disney. With its incredible array of attractions, immersive theming, and attention to detail, Disney World is a place that will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
