Between Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, the magic never ends. With many classic attractions, including transportation such as the Walt Disney World Monorail, a day spent at any Disney Park will surely delight young and old Guests.
Much (if not all) of this magic is owed to Walt Disney Imagineering. If your favorite attractions include the Haunted Mansion, the Matterhorn Bobsleds, or the Disneyland Monorail, then the magic is specifically owed to legendary Imagineer Bob Gurr.

‘Bob Gurr is a literal Disney Legend, as he was honored with the Disney Legend Award due to his contribution to the Disney Parks.
The former Imagineer Bob Gurr was interviewed by D23 in their official podcast recently. During his interview, Bob Gurr discussed all sorts of topics, from his contributions to how he feels about more modern attractions in Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

More specifically, the legendary Imagineer discussed his thoughts on one of EPCOT’s newest attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

This thrilling roller coaster is the first reverse-launch Disney coaster, full of twists, turns, spins, and drops. This thrilling coaster isn’t for everyone. Bob Gurr explained his thoughts on the attraction, saying:
On one hand, it’s probably the most perfect combination of motions, and what you see, that I have ever ever experienced… It is one of the most incredible pieces of structure, wheel design, method of control, I have ever seen…It is a super bullet proof machine on a track — and the fact that that track got built so absolutely glass smooth, even though it’s throwing you around with all these forces, none of which are sharp and abrupt, they are just big sweeping motions. That ride really has got my attention. It’s so good that I will never ride it again.

The 91 year old is brave enough for riding such a thrilling attraction, and we certainly can’t blame him for saying he’ll never ride it again! The current Walt Disney Imagineering team deserves massive applause for bringing the reactions of admiration and awe out of one of their masterful predecessors.
