There are certain rides and attractions that just truly capture the magic of Disney, such as “it’s a small world”, the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. These attractions house everything that made Disney Disney — fun animatronics, catchy songs, classic ride vehicles, and more. They also have the distinction of being attractions that Walt Disney dreamt of and worked on before he passed away.

Despite its age, the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square at Disneyland remains one of the theme park’s most popular attractions. Guests can’t get enough spooks who have come out for a swinging wake. The attraction is especially popular during the Halloween and Christmas seasons, when it is given a Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) overlay and becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Unfortunately, Disneyland guests have been unable to ride the legendary attraction for more than seven months. The Haunted Mansion closed on January 22, 2024, and has since undergone some huge changes.

The creepy Disneyland Park attraction is getting an all-new queue featuring new landscaping, a water fountain, a gazebo, and even a greenhouse. But that isn’t the best part. There will also be a brand-new store dedicated to all things Haunted Mansion! It will be similar to Memento Mori, the Haunted Mansion store located in Liberty Square at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park.
Guests have been not-so-patiently waiting for the Haunted Mansion to reopen, and it looks like the big day might not be that far away!

According to theme park influencer Fresh Baked Disney, the attraction could open as soon as June 29!
I am hearing that training for Haunted Mansion has begun and CMs are being scheduled for live shifts as soon as July 29th.
Haunted Mansion should be open to guests via virtual queue on that date.

As of right now, Disney has not officially announced a reopening date for the Haunted Mansion. The Disneyland Resort website still reads that the attraction is closed and invites guests to visit the Disney Parks Blog to learn more about the extensive changes being made.
The Haunted Mansion is set to reopen this year, and when it does, it will most likely reopen as Haunted Mansion Holiday. Typically, the attraction would close for several weeks in August for the Halloween season and Christmas overlay. It is unlikely Disney would open the attraction in its original state, only to close it a couple of weeks later for its holiday transformation.
