Mega-fans of the Star Wars galactic film franchise as well as casually informed audiences and even people not well-versed in movies, know precisely who the villainous Darth Vader is. He’s famously Luke’s father, for one. He’s the all-black-wearing, James Earl Jones-voiced, evil Force Master who makes at least a dozen appearances on any given Halloween. And he’s bAaAaCk! Here’s how to re-experience Darth Vader in Ahsoka on Disney Plus.
All Star Wars fans can discuss today is the newly released trailer for the upcoming and highly anticipated Disney Plus streaming series Ahsoka starring Rosario Dawson. This new 45-second teaser trailer ominously begins with the line, “Everyone in the Order knew Anakin Skywalker, few would live to see what he became…”
Played by actor Hayden Christensen in the three Star Wars prequels, Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi Knight who turned to the Dark Side of the Force, becoming Darth Vader under the influence of the evil Emperor Palpatine. Anakin becomes the iconic Sith Lord and one of the primary antagonists in the original trilogy after a grisly battle with Obi-Wan Kenobi and murdering Mace Windu. Vader played a significant role in the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire.
Disney Plus’ Ahsoka series picks up the story after the Clone Wars, and even though Lord Vader has already died at this point, we know that Anakin Skywalker was Ahsoka’s Jedi Master. She admits walking away from him, and the Jedi in the new teaser, and then the bomb drops.
Newly recorded dialogue from Hayden Christensen as Anakin weaves into the iconic, dramatic theme score. He says, “In this war, you will face more than just droids. As your Master, it’s my responsibility to prepare you. I won’t always be there to look out for you. Don’t be afraid. Trust your instincts. I know you can do this, Ahsoka.”

What role do you think Anakin will play in the series? Will he only be featured in flashbacks of Ahsoka’s Padawan days? Will he return as a Force ghost to warn her about Admiral Thrawn and the Sith Lords she will be facing? Both??
Fans can’t wait to find out!
Disney Plus’ Ahsoka series has its two-episode premiere in just 10 days on August 23! See you there, Star Wars Universe!
