The Ahsoka series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role and marks Hayden Christensen’s return as Anakin Skywalker. Baylan Skoll is played by the late actor Ray Stevenson, who, unfortunately, passed away in late May before the series’ release.
The Disney Plus Ahsoka series is a live-action television show that is based on the former Jedi Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Her character was introduced in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, fighting on the side of the Republic. Ahsoka left the Jedi Order once the war was over.
The news series is set to chronicle her adventures after the fall of the Galactic Republic and after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1984). The series is produced by Lucasfilm and will be directed by Dave Filoni, who is known for his work on various Star Wars animated projects.
The newly released images feature Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka crossing her arms on what looks like a star ship in front of a chart. Her costume design and makeup are right out of the animated series. Not to mention those contacts must be SO uncomfortable.
Another shows Ahsoka cloaked, standing next to Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren. Finally, there’s an image of an Inquisitor wielding a double-sided red lightsaber. It screams VILLAIN. Inquisitors track down Jedi to turn or kill them.
Are you tuning in for the new Ahsoka series on Disney Plus? The visuals alone seem promising! Let’s see if Ahsoka can match The Mandalorian’s success.
