NEW Drool-Worthy Bites Arrive at Walt Disney World

Ready to pack your bags and head to the “most magical place on earth”? Walt Disney World Resort is calling summer Guests, including those of us that can’t help but vacation for the FOOD! Grab a few friends and those stretchy pants, and get ready to snack your way through your Disney summer vacation with these new and tasty bites.

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant

Take a stroll with us down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park where you’ll find Tony’s Town Square Restaurant serving up its yummy Italian cuisine with its Lady and the Tramp (1955) theme. Tony’s will boast two new appetizers including Tony’s Garlic Bread and the Toy Box Tomato Salad.

New entrees at the table service restaurant include Oven-roasted Shrimp Scampi, Butcher’s Steak, Orecchiette with Spicy Italian Sausage, and Penne with Chicken al Forno.

Of course, end the delicious mean with new desserts including Tiramisù Cannoli, Italian Strawberry Shortcake, Tony’s Spumoni Tart, or the Mandarincello Custard. Take note – we do recommend snagging a dining reservation at Tony’s prior to your Disney Park arrival.

Sunshine Seasons

With EPCOT’s massive transformation well underway, Disney Park Guests will be rushing off to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery. Plus, be on the lookout for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana construction in World Nature.

As you speed off to Soarin’, be sure to drop by the quick and tasty Sunshine Seasons quick-service restaurant. Sunshine Seasons is dishing out now one but TWO new pizza rolls including Cheese Pizza Roll and Pepperoni Pizza Roll. 

Salt & Straw

The newest hot spot at Disney Springs, Salt & Straw, is NOW OPEN! What better way to cool off in the summer Central Florida heat than with a bite of some heavenly ice cream. With an excellent variety of unique and fun flavors (including a monthly flavor rotation!), be sure a stop at Salt & Straw on the West Side of Disney Springs is worked in your summer vacation plans.

Marketplace Snacks

Excuse us as we drool! Marketplace Snacks at Disney Springs has introduced all-new Mickey and Friends Bubble Waffle Sundaes. That’s right, this is not a drill Disney foodies!

Choose between flavors like the Mickey Waffle Sundae featuring vanilla soft-serve, hot fudge, cookie crumbles, and white chocolate crisp pearls, the Minnie Waffle Sundae with vanilla soft-serve, strawberry topping, sliced strawberries, and white chocolate crisp pearls, or Donald’s Waffle Sundae made with vanilla soft-serve, lemon curd, and blueberries.

Even Goofy and Pluto are getting in on the fun! Goofy’s Peanut Waffle Sundae has vanilla and chocolate soft-serve with hot fudge, peanuts, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, M&M’s Minis, and a cherry on top while Pluto’s Waffle Sundae has chocolate soft-serve, chocolate-covered pretzels, peanut butter sauce, and milk chocolate crisp pearls.

Disney Resort Plant-Based Offerings

Disney isn’t only letting its Parks and Disney Springs join in on the fun. The Disney Resorts are stepping up their tasty bites game for the summer!

Several Resorts now have new plant-based offerings to enjoy including the Plant-based Mickey-shaped Frittata featuring tomato, spinach, onions, and “mozzarella” served with potatoes and mixed fruit which is pictured above with the IMPOSSIBLE Burger. The IMPOSSIBLE Burger includes an IMPOSSIBLE patty topped with Carolina-style barbecued jackfruit, pickled slaw, and “cheddar” served with french fries.

The Mickey-shaped Frittata and IMPOSSIBLE Burger will be introduced to various menus now through June 7 at locations including Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter.

Grand Floridian Cafe

The quiet and pristine Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is preparing for a delicious summer! At Grand Floridian Cafe enjoy the signature meal period, “blunch” which includes the return of the Reuben, coleslaw, and steak fries.

You can also dig in and enjoy the yummy Chicken and Waffles (pictured above) with hand-breaded chicken breast and malted waffle with a sriracha-honey drizzle.

Ready for dinner? Check out the Café Meatloaf which is a house-made turkey meatloaf with smashed red bliss potatoes, broccolini, and mushroom gravy. Or, you can’t go wrong with the Shrimp and Grits featuring jumbo shrimp with chorizo and fennel paired with creamy, mascarpone cheese grits.

Both “blunch” and dinner will also offer the return of the Caramelized Onion Soup Gratin, which is a traditional French onion soup as pictured above.

Gasparilla Island Grill

Stay with us at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where not only Grand Floridian Cafe is getting a dose of newbies for the summer, but so is Gasparilla Island Grill! This quick-service location is all about the sweets!

Check out the Cheshire Cat Wildberry Mousse featuring swirls of wildberry mousse, berry compote, and cake crumbles topped with a white chocolate Cheshire Cat.

Calling all Orange Bird fans! Prepare to enjoy the Orange Bird Cake Pop! This sweet treat consists of a yellow cake pop swirled with citrus-scented buttercream to look like this iconic character.

Or, how about some ice cream? The enticing Brownie Crispy Cone is prepared to hold a caramel-swirled brownie topped with a crisped rice treat cone with white chocolate drizzle, and sprinkles. YUM!

Good’s Food to Go

Last on the summer foodies list but not least well worth a visit to Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Check out the quick-service spot known as Good’s Food to Go for the dreamy Key Lime Pie Swirl. This Key Lime Pie Swirl pictured above is a DOLE Whip lime and vanilla soft-serve swirl topped with graham cracker crumbs.
