Grab your spoon and a few friends and family, and get ready to dive into some delicious ice cream coming soon to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort!
It seems like Disney Springs has really stepped up its dessert and sweet treats game lately. It wasn’t too long ago we were celebrating the opening of the ever-so-popular Gideon’s Bakehouse in The Landing portion of Disney Springs. The cookies are so good here, there’s almost always a long virtual queue to enter.
And if cookies aren’t your thing, heavenly donuts are just down the way at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew in Disney Springs West Side. Then, let’s not forget about the newly opened M&Ms Store or the must-have chocolates at Amorette’s Patisserie. But now, we’re thrilled ICE CREAM is joining the Disney Springs dessert lineup.

That’s right, Salt & Straw is doing so well over at Downtown Disney in California’s Disneyland Resort that it’s now coming to Florida’s Disney Springs with the mission of “Using ice cream as a platform, we pioneer and share experiences that inspire and connect us all.” Salt & Straw is well known for having some of the best-tasting ice creams around with ingredients from farms and artisans. The Portland, Oregon-based boutique ice parlor, is preparing for its first Central Florida location at Disney Springs as we previously shared permits for interior work underway.
The list of favorite flavors is too yummy to count with some choices for Salt & Straw ice cream being Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake, Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, Chocolate Gooey Brownie, Double Fold Vanilla, Cinamon Snickerdoodle, Honey Lavender, and much more!
So, when can we expect these tasty treats to be available? According to a ClickOrlando, despite Salt & Straw previously announcing they were opening in June 2021, it looks like we can look forward to March 2022 for the grand opening. Alison Hiatt, Chief Market Officer for Salt & Straw announced, “We are THRILLED to say we plan to open in March — exact timeline still pending construction — but that is our current plan.”
