Walt Disney World Resort is known for making magic in multiple ways with its high-performing Guest services, friendly Cast Members, security, and unmatched cleanliness. But now, it seems like those high exceptions are floundering.
While the Disney Park experience has not always been picture-perfect, there has been plenty of talk among the Disney fandom about disappointing vacation experiences… including overflowing trash cans.

When visiting Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests continuously report large crowds and lengthy lines, despite The Walt Disney Company CEO, Bob Chapek, praising the Disney Park Pass Reservation System for control over such issues.
From uncomfortable dining experiences with a rude Cast Member to fights breaking out within Disney Parks and Guests’ vehicles being stolen from Disney Parking lots, there are plenty of incidents that cause questions.

Even though we like to imagine everything is pixie dust and Mickey Mouse hugs… it’s obvious not everything can always be as perfect as we like to dream of within the Disney bubble.
It wasn’t too long ago that Disney Tips reported an overflowing trash can within the Space Mountain attraction in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland as pictured below.
Now, we’re seeing a photo taken while Guests were in line for the beloved Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
@nakai_barnor took to social media to share a photo on October 29, 2022, stating, “Ummm Custodial?”
So, what’s the problem? Why are trash cans overflowing?
Cast Members are the “secret sauce” in making Disney the exceptional place it is. Our guess is incidents like this are so shocking for Disney quality they gain an extra amount of viral attention when they do occur.
Not only that, but there are still likely Cast Member shortages as Disney works to keep the Parks and Resort staffed as the theme park turns the corner into the popular holiday season at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
