Walt Disney World ride closures are not uncommon, as the park takes great care to ensure the safety and enjoyment of its guests. However, it is quite rare to have three iconic rides closed simultaneously, which is the case today. Today, January 26, guests have been refused ride service at three of Walt Disney World Resorts’ most popular attractions.

The Rides Temporarily Unavailable

Slinky Dog Dash is a fan-favorite roller coaster located in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park. Known for its whimsical theming and exhilarating twists and turns, Slinky Dog Dash captures the imagination of guests, both young and old. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, this thrilling ride is currently undergoing maintenance.

Although it may be disappointing for visitors who had hoped to experience the rush of riding on the back of Slinky Dog, their safety is of the utmost importance, and the closure ensures that the attraction can be enjoyed to its fullest potential in the future.

For many guests, Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance is an absolute must-see. Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park, this groundbreaking attraction immerses guests in the middle of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order. Since its opening, Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance has garnered rave reviews for its state-of-the-art technology and captivating storytelling.

However, in order to maintain this level of excellence, periodic closures are necessary to address any technical issues and provide regular maintenance. While it may be disappointing to miss out on this immersive experience during the closure, guests can look forward to a seamless and unforgettable adventure when the ride reopens.

Lastly, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, an exciting new addition to the France pavilion at EPCOT, has also temporarily shut its doors to guests. Based on the beloved Disney-Pixar film Ratatouille (2007), this attraction shrinks guests down to the size of a rat and takes them on a culinary adventure through Gusteau’s restaurant.

With its innovative trackless ride system and charming theming, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been highly anticipated by Disney enthusiasts around the world. Unfortunately, it is currently closed for maintenance, but its closure serves as an opportunity for Disney’s Imagineers to ensure that every detail is perfectly running before welcoming guests on this culinary escapade.

How Long Will These Disney Ride Closures Last?

While the temporary closure of any ride can be disappointing, it is important to remember that Walt Disney World is constantly striving to provide unforgettable experiences for its guests. By promptly addressing maintenance and safety needs, the park guarantees that visitors can enjoy these iconic attractions for years.

Even though Slinky Dog Dash, Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure may be closed at the moment, there are still countless other magical experiences to be had throughout the park. From classic rides to live shows and character meet-and-greets, Walt Disney World Resort offers a plethora of entertainment options that will continue to captivate guests while they eagerly await the reopening of these beloved attractions.
