Disney Wish Movie
The upcoming Wish (2023) film from Walt Disney Animation tells the story of 17-year-old Asha from Rosas, the kingdom of wishes. The film’s antagonist is the kingdom ruler, King Magnifico, and the movie will also contain music numbers, similar to Disney animation films of the past. Its original songs are written by Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice.
The Disney movie stars the voice talents of Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, and Alan Tudyk (as the goat Valentino). It’s set for a release date of November 22 and will utilize a unique blend of two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation.

The trailer for the movie was released in April of this year and is directed by Chris Buck, who also directed Frozen (2013), and Fawn Veerasunthorn, who worked on animation for Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). It will be exclusively released in theaters. However, it’ll be interesting to see if the upcoming SAG-AFTRA strikes will impact the film’s promotion and box office numbers.
