One of our absolute favorite places in EPCOT is the France Pavilion. This amazing little area allows us to imagine we’ve been transported to Paris, giving us a little taste of what this amazing city has to offer. We love the street artists, the attractions, and the theming found in this pavilion. What we love the most however is the amazing food this part of the park has to offer.
From an incredible sit-down restaurant to an adorable ice cream shop, this country’s pavilion has several awesome food options, and everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing.
Our favorite place to get food while in EPCOT’s France pavilion? Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.
There are several reasons we adore this little bakery. We’ve listed the top reasons below, and believe they are all excellent arguments that you really NEED to visit Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie during your next day in EPCOT.
Quick and Easy
The first reason to visit this spot? It is super quick. In fact, it might just be one of the quickest Disney quick-service restaurants in any Disney Park. This is due to the fact that everything is ready and waiting for you, meaning you won’t ever have to wait long for your food to be ready. Of course, the attentive staff is also helpful in keeping the line moving and ensuring everyone gets their food in a timely manner.
The biggest benefit of fast service is, of course, the ability to cut your mealtime a bit shorter so you can enjoy more of what the Park has to offer. That said, while it is nice to get your food quickly, we don’t recommend rushing through the actual eating, because you will want to fully enjoy both the food and the atmosphere the pavilion provides.
Inexpensive Lunch Choices
We all know that Disney World is hard on the pocketbook. In some places, a quick service meal can cost nearly $20, and that’s just for one plate. That said, this isn’t the case at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. This little bakery has some of the more affordable meal options in Walt Disney World Resort.
Some of our favorite savory options for lunch that are served up here include the Croissant Jambon Fromage, the Croque Monsieur sandwich, and the Quiche Lorraine. All are well under $10, and all are sure to be satisfying.
Enormous Sweets Selection
Of course, when you’re in a bakery, you have to get a dessert. Fortunately, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie has a huge selection of sweet french pastries and other tempting delicacies, meaning you’ll almost certainly find something to enjoy.
Not sure what to get? We highly recommend the Brioche Au Chocolat (chocolate chip brioche), the Napoleon, and the Fraises (a vanilla cream tart topped with strawberries). Of course, the cookies and croissant options are fantastic as well, and anything with mousse is a win in our book.

In our opinion, no dessert or breakfast is complete without a good cup of coffee. Fortunately, they have that here too. Whether you prefer a shot of espresso, a latte, or a regular coffee, there is a coffee drink available for you. This means you can enjoy your treat, wash it down with coffee, and then enjoy an afternoon burst of energy as you finish off the World Showcase.
Not a coffee drinker? Hot chocolate, orange juice, white and chocolate milk, and assorted fountain beverages are also available.
Grab and Go Treats
Because Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is close to one end of the World Showcase, it can happen that you get nearly all the way around and can’t possibly do any more snacking. In many cases, this would mean skipping the restaurant in question, but in our opinion, this isn’t something you should do. Instead, consider getting something to go.
Fortunately, this bakery has a number of options that are good to go. The first thing that comes to mind is the macrons, which come in a variety of bright colors and yummy flavors. These pack up nicely in a plastic container and are perfect for enjoying later on when you’re hungry again.
Lots of Seating Options
Another benefit of dining at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie? The seating is plentiful. This is wonderful when you’ve been walking all day and your legs need a break, and it certainly does make eating your bakery treats easier.
Indoor seating is available near the bakery itself and is acceptable if the weather is less than awesome. That said, we much prefer the chairs and other seating options located outside of the restaurant, as sitting outdoors allows us to take in the ambiance in the pavilion and do some people-watching while we’re at it.
Convenient Shopping Option
Lastly, we must mention the shopping opportunity located inside the same building as Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. This little gift shop has a number of fun souvenir options for those who truly love France. If you’re a shopper, it can be nice to send a friend or family member to order food while you get some shopping done, killing two birds with one stone and ensuring you make the most of your time in EPCOT.
Clearly, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is an excellent choice when dining in EPCOT. We can’t think of a better quick-service option in the World Showcase, nor can we think of a better place to get dessert. We actually have a hard time thinking of anything we don’t like about this place. It’s definitely a top pick when it comes to Walt Disney World Dining, and we will definitely eat there again and again.
What do you think? Will adding this traditional French bakery to your next Walt Disney World vacation add to your Disney experience? We’re guessing so!
