Chocolate Lover’s Guide To Epcot

EPCOT is home to some of the most popular and delicious dining options in all of the Walt Disney World Resort, and there are such diverse options that there is something for everyone to enjoy. Guests who are chocolate lovers have an extensive menu of indulgent offerings to choose from while in EPCOT including everything from classic chocolate chip cookies to exotic spins on chocolate from various countries throughout the world. Let’s check out all of the places in Epcot to enjoy a chocolate treat!

Coral Reef Restaurant

Epcot’s World Nature Neighborhood is home to the beautiful Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion which houses one of the world’s largest aquariums filled with hundreds of species of creatures. Coral Reef Restaurant is a full-service restaurant located in the pavilion that welcomes guests into a vibrant dining room that features massive windows that look into the aquarium for Guests to enjoy the sea life while dining. Chocolate lovers have several options to choose from for dessert at Coral Reef Restaurant including The Chocolate Wave, a classic warm flourless chocolate cake accompanied by raspberry gelato. The Baileys Almande and Jack Daniel’s Mousse combines a rich chocolate ganache with candied almonds and a lighter option is the Mixed Berry Mousse which features a vanilla chiffon cake and shortbread cookie paired with a chocolate sauce.

Sunshine Seasons

Also found in EPCOT’s World Nature Neighborhood is Sunshine Seasons, a quick service location found on the lower level of The Land Pavilion that features several ordering counters with plenty of options for Guests to enjoy. Chocolate lovers also have plenty of options to enjoy thanks to a combination of fresh bakery items and grab-and-go snacks. Chocolate Croissants and Chocolate Chip Cookies are popular options that Guests can take with them to nosh on throughout EPCOT as well as an M&M’s Sugar Cookie and Turtle Brownie. Guests who enjoy chocolate can also check out the Plant-based Cookies ‘n “Cream” Chocolate Mousse Cup which is creamy and delicious for Guests with certain dietary restrictions.

Space 220 Restaurant

One of the newest dining additions to EPCOT is Space 220 Restaurant, a full-service restaurant next to Mission: SPACE in the World Discovery Neighborhood that blasts Guests 220 miles above the earth to enjoy a meal with a stunning view of outer space. Massive windows showcase the planet below as well as astronauts, space stations, and space shuttles that Guests can spot while dining on modern American cuisine. After enjoying the view and their meals, Guests can order up chocolate desserts such as the Chocolate Cheesecake which features a whipped chocolate ganache, chocolate sauce, white chocolate crunchy pearls, cookie crumbs, and dark chocolate shards for an epic chocolate treat. Chocolate lovers can also dig into the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake which is topped with a dark chocolate sauce, caramel crunchy pearls, and salted toffee drizzle.

La Cantina de San Angel

World Showcase has no shortage of amazing dining options including La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion. The open-air quick-service restaurant is located right against the shore of World Showcase Lagoon and serves up traditional Mexican favorites in a festive and bustling atmosphere. While taking in the beautiful views, chocolate lovers can indulge in traditional Mexican Churros which are served warm and smothered in sweet sugar and accompanied by a decadent chocolate hazelnut spread to dip into!

San Angel Inn Restaurante

Inside of the pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase is another restaurant that features authentic Mexican cuisine in a stunning setting. The San Angel Inn Restaurante features a perpetual nighttime setting with a volcano and pyramid in the distance and boats from the nearby Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros gliding by. Guests who love chocolate and enjoy lunch or dinner at the restaurant can indulge in the Chocolate “Fiesta” Pyramid which is a chocolate pyramid filled with a Mexican chocolate mousse and toffee sitting on a Tres Leches Cake and scoop of ice cream. Chocolate lovers can also enjoy the Brownie Sundae featuring a warm fudge brownie with dulce de leche ice cream and a cajeta sauce.

La Hacienda de San Angel

An additional table service restaurant in the Mexico Pavilion is La Hacienda de San Angel which is also situated on the shores of World Showcase Lagoon and features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water that Guests can gaze out of during their meals. Open for dinner only each day, La Hacienda de San Angel also serves up the Chocolate “Fiesta” Pyramid as well as the Chocoflan which is a creamy Mexican custard and chocolate sponge cake served with a cajeta sauce and toasted almonds.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

World Showcase’s Norway Pavilion features Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, a traditional Norwegian bakery that serves up popular treats throughout each day in Epcot. Housed in a small and cozy shop, chocolate lovers have plenty of options to choose from that they can then enjoy on an open-air patio in the back. The Norwegian Kringla is a large pretzel-shaped pastry that Guests can choose to top with chocolate and there is also an indulgent Triple Chocolate-Chip Cookie as well as a Chocolate Mickey Tart. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe also serves up some delicious alcoholic beverages that chocolate lovers will enjoy. The Viking Coffee combines Baileys Irish Cream and Kamora Coffee Liqueur and the Frozen Viking Coffee features the same two spirits paired with a coffee-chocolate sauce and coffee-chocolate crunch.

Karamell-Kuche

One of the most popular quick-service spots in all of Epcot’s World Showcase is Karamell-Kuche in the Germany Pavilion. Sponsored by Werther’s Original Caramel, the small bakery serves up a large variety of caramel treats that lure Guests in with their delicious smells. Chocolate lovers have endless options to enjoy at Karamell-Kuche including Werther’s Original Milk Chocolate Caramel Popcorn, Milk Chocolate Apple, Chocolate and Caramel Dipped Strawberry, Chocolate and Caramel Covered Pineapple, Caramel & Chocolate Pretzel Rod, Chocolate Caramel Brownie, Caramel & Milk Chocolate Crisped Rice Treat, Dark Chocolate Caramel with Sea Salt, German Chocolate Caramel, Caramel Chocolate Marshmallows, Chocolate Caramel Cupcake, and much more.

Biergarten Restaurant

In the rear of the Germany Pavilion in World Showcase is the popular Biergarten Restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner daily. The restaurant brings Guests into a charming town square with large picnic tables facing a central stage and dance floor where oompah bands and other live entertainment occur throughout each meal. Tutto Italia Ristorante & Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar

There are several eateries in the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase that serve up authentic Italian cuisine in inviting and warm settings. Tutto Italia Ristorante is a table service location with dark wooden accents and beautiful frescos on the walls that is open for lunch and dinner and Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is a cozy spot with vaulted stone ceilings where Guests can relax and enjoy an extensive wine list and small bites. Both locations serve up some delicious chocolate desserts that Guests are sure to love including a traditional Cannoli, Tartufo al Caffe with a rich chocolate shell, chocolate flavored Gelati, and Mocha Tiramisu with mascarpone, espresso, Savoiardi biscuits, and chocolate.

Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

In the very rear of the Italy Pavilion is the popular Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria which focuses on authentic Italian cooking and wood-fire pizzas which are perfectly cooked in large ovens with faces depicting the volcanos of Italy. Guests who dine at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria for lunch or dinner can enjoy an array of delicious options as well as Tiramisu with mascarpone cream, espresso coffee, lady fingers and chocolate, chocolate flavored Gelati, and Cannolo Siciliano with sweet ricotta, chocolate, and candied orange.

Gelateria Toscana

A relatively new addition to the Italy Pavilion is a quick-service counter that serves up traditional and indulgent gelato-based treats all day long. Gelateria Toscana features several flavors of gelato to choose from including Chocolate and Cookies & Cream that Guests can enjoy in a waffle cone or cup as well as other delicious options. The Coppa Del Nonno combines vanilla, chocolate, and cookies and cream gelatos with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and amaretto cookies and the Cannoli Al Cioccolato is filled with sweet ricotta, chocolate, and candied orange. Chocolate lovers can also try the Mocha Tiramisu with mascarpone cream, Savoiardi biscuits, espresso coffee, and chocolate as well as the 7-Layer Cake which features layers of blue and white cake topped with chocolate ganache and gold dust.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue

The center of World Showcase is the America Pavilion where Guests can visit the Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue for some indulgent barbecue options. The quick-service location features hints of Muppets theming with patriotic Sam Eagle featured in several places, and Guests can pop in at any time to order the S’mores Brownie which is the perfect combination of chocolate and melted marshmallow.

Funnel Cake

Also found in the America Pavilion is the Funnel Cake quick service counter where Guests can enjoy the traditional carnival-inspired food served in several different ways. Chocolate lovers can opt for the Funnel Cake with Chocolate Sauce or the more offbeat Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake which features sugar, vanilla ice cream, crushed cookies, and chocolate sauce.

Les Chefs de France

A popular table service meal in the France Pavilion in World Showcase is Les Chefs de France which is open each day for lunch and dinner. Guests who dine at the location can feel as though they are in a traditional French brasserie with beautiful views out into the pavilion and every meal should end with a delicious chocolate dessert. The Tarte au chocolat Valrhona features a chocolate tarte with a white chocolate mousse and cocoa coulis insert that is both light and decadent.

La Creperie de Paris & Crepes A Emporter by La Creperie de Paris

One of the newest eateries in Epcot is La Creperie de Paris in the France Pavilion where Guests can enjoy a table service meal and menu crafted by Chef Jerome Bocuse for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Chocolate lovers will enjoy the Gormande Crepe which features hazelnut-chocolate spread and whipped cream or the Poire Crepe which combines pears, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream. Guests who are looking for a grab-and-go option can instead stop by the attached Crepes A Emporter by La Creperie de Paris which serves up the same chocolate options as a quick service meal.

L’Artisan des Glaces

Also found in the France Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is L’Artisan des Glaces, a traditional French sweets shop that serves up a variety of ice cream flavors including chocolate, candied peanuts with chocolate peanut fudge, mint-chocolate, and coconut-white chocolate. All of those flavors can be enjoyed in a waffle cone or cup or in a specialty dish such as the Café Glace which tops one scoop with ice cappuccino and whipped cream or the Macaron which sandwiches a scoop inside of the traditional pastry.

Le Cellier Steakhouse

The final pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is the Canada Pavilion where Guests can enjoy lunch or dinner at the popular Le Cellier Steakhouse. This table service meal brings Guests into a traditional wine cellar and serves up steakhouse classics with flavors from Canada. Chocolate lovers have several options to choose from at Le Cellier Steakhouse including the Chocolate Caramel Bar which combines dark chocolate mousse, caramel cookie pieces, milk chocolate shell, and chocolate shortbread cookie and the Maple Leaf Cheesecafe which is chocolate coated and features crème fraiche, whipped cream, strawberries, and shortbread cookies.
