The Walt Disney World Resort is filled with wonderful nostalgic attractions and experiences that Guests love to enjoy time and time again, but it is also constantly in a state of change, with new additions being added all the time to keep things fresh. Guests who visit the vacation destination love to enjoy Disney dining options throughout the property, and there is always something new and delicious to dine on! With the last few years featuring closures, delayed openings, and changes in travel due to COVID-19, there is a slew of new restaurants that many Guests might not have enjoyed yet.

Let’s check out the newest restaurants and dining options that can be found throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!

Guests Dining

Space 220 Restaurant

EPCOT is currently going through a massive phase of change and additions, including several new restaurants that have opened in the last few years. Space 220 Restaurant opened on September 20, 2021, and is located in the World Discovery neighborhood adjacent to Mission: SPACE. The restaurant invites Guests to board a Stellarvator and blast off 220 miles above the Earth to dine aboard the Centauri Space Station. The futuristic interior features a décor of modern fixtures in black, blue, and silver, and Guests can enjoy massive windows looking out into space where they can enjoy views of the planet below, the stars, and some interesting objects floating by.

The prix-fixe menu at Space 220 Restaurant focuses on modern American cuisine for lunch and dinner and Guests can enjoy wonderful options including Big Bang Burrata, Neptune Tartare, Slow Rotation Short Rib, Galactic Salmon, and Space Glazed Duck Breast.

Connections Eatery

Guests looking for a new quick-service dining option in EPCOT can head to the World Celebration neighborhood for a restaurant that has quickly gained a following since opening in April 2022 thanks to its unique design and delicious menu. Connections Eatery is open daily for lunch and dinner and features a futuristic interior that pays homage to the rich history of EPCOT. Guests can check out subtle details that honor the Disney Park, including geometric patterns that match the design on Spaceship Earth, logos from original pavilions, and a design on the floor that matches the original blueprint of EPCOT as shown by Walt Disney in the Florida Project film.

The menu at Connections Eatery features international highlights inspired by French, Italian, and Asian cuisines, with options including the French Bistro Burger, Meatball Pizza, General Tso Chicken Salad, and Nicoise-style Salad.

Le Crêperie de Paris

The final new restaurant in EPCOT that Guests might not have had the opportunity to enjoy yet is La Crêperie de Paris — a table service location located in the France Pavilion in World Showcase. La Crêperie de Paris debuted on October 1, 2021, and welcomes Guests into a charming and laid-back interior inspired by the Brittany region of France with wooden beams, exposed stonework, cheerful pops of green, and views out into the France Pavilion. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and features a limited menu crafted by Chef Jerome Bocuse that focuses exclusively on sweet and savory crêpes.

Guests who dine at La Crêperie de Paris can enjoy flavorful crêpe options like the Saumon featuring smoked salmon, crème Fraiche, chives, and lemon, Chèvre with goat cheese, spinach, and walnuts, Pomme with caramelized apples and a caramel beurre sale, and Gourmande featuring hazelnut-chocolate spread and whipped cream.

Steakhouse 71

Disney’s Contemporary Resort has long been a popular dining destination at the Walt Disney World Resort thanks to locations like California Grill and Chef Mickey’s. On October 1, 2021, a new table service option debuted. Steakhouse 71 opened on the official 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, which is fitting, as the restaurant celebrates the rich history of the last fifty years with a unique interior featuring a blend of modern and retro décor. Guests who dine at Steakhouse 71 for breakfast, lunch, or dinner can check out geometric patterns, modern light fixtures, and black and white photos of Walt Disney while enjoying a unique menu of American favorites inspired by the 1970s.

Some menu options available at Steakhouse 71 include Eggs Benedict, Walt’s Prime Rib Hash, Crab Cake Sliders, Salisbury Steak, 6-oz Filet Mignon, and 12-oz Roasted Prime Rib & Classic Yorkshire Pudding.

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Disney Resort on property, and it also features a stunning table service restaurant that has been wowing Guests since opening on December 16, 2019. Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera can be found at the very top of the Disney Resort, welcoming Guests into an elegant dining room that draws inspiration from the Riviera with modern light fixtures, rich textures, and comfortable seating. The table service restaurant also features an outdoor patio with sweeping views of the Disney Resort and nearby Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort that Guests cannot get enough of.

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is open daily for Breakfast a la Art with Mickey & Friends, where Guests can meet favorite characters while dining on options like the Sour Cream Waffle and Quiché Gruyère, as well as dinner, where the menu focuses on French and Italian cuisine with options including Lobster Linguine, French Veal Chop, and Sea Scallops.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw

Disney Springs is one of the top dining locations at the Walt Disney World Resort, and the West Side gained a delicious new addition on April 20, 2022. Salt & Straw is a beloved family-run ice cream shop that focuses on an ever-changing menu inspired by fresh seasonal ingredients and unique flavor combinations. Guests who visit Salt & Straw can enjoy classic flavors available year-round, including Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper, Honey Lavender, and Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, in addition to seasonal flavors like Birthday Cakes & Blackberries, Goat Cheese Marionberry Habanero, and Wild-Foraged Berry Slab Pie.

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew

The West Side in Disney Springs also gained another quick-service restaurant in January 2021 that serves up a decadent menu of over-the-top donuts and creations. Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew welcomes Guests into a vibrant and bright interior where Guests can order up delicious donut options, including “classics” like the Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, Purple Glazed Ube, and Fruity Pebbles. While the classics are great, it’s the Funky Bunch menu that keeps Guests coming back for more with options including the Peanut Butter Explosion, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Nutella Boston Cream, S’Mores Galore, and Maple Double Bacon. Guests who stop by Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew can also sample fresh cold brew options like classic Cold Brew as well as flavorful variations including the Reese’s Nitro, Purple Reign, and Double Chocolate Nitro.

Gideon’s Bakehouse

The Landing area of Disney Springs also gained a delicious dining location in January 2021 that serves up cookies that are so large they can literally be considered a meal. Gideon’s Bakehouse is an extremely popular spot that features a unique gothic interior. Here, chef’s craft cookies that take nearly twenty-four hours to prepare and weigh in at a half pound each! Guests who brave the crowds and stop by Gideon’s Bakehouse can enjoy flavorful cookie options including the Original Chocolate Chip Cookie, Peanut Butter Crunch, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip, and Cookies & Cream, in addition to special monthly flavors and decadent slices of cake.

Swirls on the Water

Finally, the newest dining location to debut in Disney Springs in March 2022 that many Guests have yet to enjoy is Swirls on the Water in the Marketplace. This quick-service location features a convenient ordering counter where Guests can find a menu of delicious and unique variations on the classic DOLE Whip served up in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom. Guests who enjoy a visit to Swirls on the Water can soak in stunning views of Lake Buena Vista while enjoying options like the DOLE Whip Pineapple Vanilla Nachos, DOLE Whip Float featuring Rose Regale Sparkling Red and Strawberry, and the DOLE Whip Flight, which features three rotating flavors.
