Stay in a Little Mermaid Room at Art of Animation
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a fantastic place to stay. Not only does it have a super cool swimming pool and splash areas for little ones, the food court is also one of the best out there. On top of all that, each of the rooms in this value resort is very heavily themed.
While most of these rooms are suites that sleep larger families (making them more expensive), there are some more traditional four-person rooms. Awesomely, these smaller rooms are Little Mermaid themed, meaning mermaid fans can actually be transported under the sea each evening when they return to their Disney resort.
We definitely recommend that mermaid lovers do whatever they can to snag one of these rooms.
Enjoy a Mermaid Tail Cupcake from Landscapes of Flavors
One of the best things about any visit to Disney World is the food. In particular, we love the sweet treats served on property, and since you’re on vacation, you really have to treat yourself at least a few times. This is where the Mermaid Tail Cupcake comes into play.
This beautiful, mermaid-themed treat is a vanilla cupcake filled with pineapple and topped with coconut buttercream frosting and a mermaid tail. It is served up at Landscape of Flavors in the Art of Animation Resort, and is a definite must-have for mermaid fans.
Sip a Mermaid Slushy from Prince Eric’s Village Market
Looking for even more yummy mermaid snacks? Look no further than Prince Eric’s Village Market in the Magic Kingdom. This snack stand serves up all kinds of goodies, but our focus today is the mermaid slushy.
This ocean-colored blue raspberry and green apple slush is topped with whipped cream and a tasty white chocolate mermaid tail. Yum!
Wave to Ariel During the Royal Princess Processional
Obviously, you will want to say hello to everyone’s favorite mermaid while in Disney World. Fortunately, this is totally possible when you stop to watch the Royal Princess Processional in Magic Kingdom theme park.
This mini-parade happens regularly throughout the day, so spending any amount of time on Main Street, U.S.A. should result in seeing it pass by. When it does, watch for Ariel and wave hello!

Ride Under The Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid
Another great way to catch a glimpse of Ariel is to ride Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid. This slow-moving dark ride is also in Magic Kingdom, and tells the story of The Little Mermaid using fun music and lighting along with animatronic characters.
This is one the whole family can enjoy together, and one that mermaid fanatics will likely want to ride more than once.
Spot the Mermaids on Peter Pan’s Flight
Looking for more Disney park mermaid ride fun? Head over to Peter Pan’s Flight. While this classic ride isn’t centered around mermaids, some beautiful mermaids can be spotted getting some sun in Neverland as your ship flies by. Additionally, mermaids are featured in some of the artwork seen in the queue. See how many you can find while you wait, but watch out for the pirate crew.
Go Under the Sea in “Mickey’s PhilharMagic”
There is yet another attraction that will get you up close and personal with a mermaid. This one comes in the form of a 4D movie experience that pulls you into the middle of a number of beloved movies including Fantasia, The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and of course, the one that features our favorite Disney princess, The Little Mermaid.
The name of this super fun attraction? “Mickey’s PhilharMagic,” located in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland.

Learn to be a Mermaid with Mermaid Academy
Last but not least, we simply must mention the Mermaid Academy. If you have ever wanted to be a mermaid, this is the experience for you.
While the company isn’t offering mermaid classes on Disney World property at the moment, they have in the past and plan to do so again soon. In the meantime, they do have mermaid lessons happening in other Orlando area locations right now. The Mermaid Academy does tend to focus on lessons for kids, but they are happy to teach adults as well on request. Don your mermaid tail and feel what it’s like to live under the sea!
Clearly, mermaid lovers will find themselves right at home when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. Try fitting all of these things into your mermaid-packed vacation and see if you can spot any other mermaid-related fun while you’re there. Most importantly, having a splashing good time!
