Disney Dining Information Guide
Walt Disney World Dining Basics– Walt Disney World offers many dining options to their guests. Whether you are looking for a quick bite between rides or you prefer a quiet dinner for two you will find what you are looking for. There are many places to eat within the parks but you might also find something wonderful at the hotels or at Downtown Disney. Walt Disney World dining does not have to be confusing, you just need to know what you are looking for and the basics of the various options
Best Restaurants at Walt Disney World– This was not an easy list to compile. We could make a list of the 50 Best Restaurants at Walt Disney World and people would still not agree. Some of my own personal favorites are not listed. The restaurants that are here are known for atmosphere, service and the quality of the food. They are more than just places to eat, they are experiences. These are restaurants that will enhance your trip to Disney and will make it more special than ever you dreamed possible.
Special Dining Needs at Disney World– Having a special dining need or request will not stop you from enjoying the restaurants at Walt Disney World. Whether your dining needs are different because of personal choice or they are health related, the staff at the restaurants are more than willing to work with you to find something that you will enjoy. Chances are that the chef has heard a similar request in the past and will know exactly what to do.
Vegetarian Dining at Disney– Special dining requirements should not stop you from enjoying meals at the unique restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. If you have food allergies, are vegan or require kosher meals the best idea is to call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) at least 48 hours before your reservation.
Save Money on Your Disney Vacation– Often when we travel to Walt Disney World we want to save money on some of the more mundane things so that we can spend it on fun things. For instance, why spend big bucks for a bottle of water in the park when you can purchase a Mickey Bar from the same vendor? This is where today’s article helps you out. There are many ways that you can stock up on staples like bottled water for “normal” prices and save that park money (or snack credits) for something more unique and enjoyable!
Disney Dining: Outside the Parks Part One– I know, it sounds crazy, visiting Walt Disney World and not setting foot into a theme park. Many people might even think why in the world would you want to visit Disney without theme parks? Hear me out on this one. How many times have you visited Walt Disney World and wished that you had more time to enjoy the amenities at your resort?
Disney Dining: Outside the Parks Part 2– For part 2 of our look at Disney Dining outside of the theme parks we will take a look at a few more ways to enjoy the fabulous dining offered at Disney’s resort hotels. This group is particularly appealing to adults, so if you are planning an adults-only trip like a girls weekend or a romantic getaway these ideas could help make for a memorable experience.
Top 5 Tips for Getting Reservations At Popular Disney Restaurants– Many people look upon their “ADR” or Dining Reservation Day with great anticipation, an equal number look upon it with dread. And a number probably greater than those two put together have no idea what I am talking about because they don’t know about the magic number “180.” In this quick guide to making your dining dreams come true you will find some tips and techniques for making your dining reservations.
Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party– Hmmmmmm…….let’s take a moment, shall we, and think about this long and hard. Take the famed Magic Kingdom fireworks spectacular, pair it with an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet and what do you get??? How about an evening of pure indulgence; a decadent, dazzling feast for the senses. One that only Disney can master. It doesn’t take long to realize two Disney favorites, when paired together, can only spell “MAGIC”
Let Them Eat Cupcakes! Disney Dining Review– Walt Disney World is not immune to the cupcake craze that is sweeping the nation with gourmet and specialty cupcakes found in many locations throughout the parks and resorts. On a recent resort only visit that my family made to the World I thought it would be fun to explore some of the deluxe resorts and make a game of it by sampling cupcakes along our journey. Tough assignment, right?
Dining with An Imagineer– On each of our trips to Walt Disney World I try to throw something new and different into the mix. We’ve done a variety of guided tours, Youth Education Series Classes, boat rentals, fireworks cruises, etc. One thing that I wanted to try for a while was Lunch with an Imagineer, but the ages of my children weren’t quite right yet. Well, this year my oldest son turned 13, and one of the career paths he wants to explore is becoming an Imagineer.
Five Bakery Treats you Must Try– Walt Disney World is a place filled with all sorts of delicious goodies. Calling to children and adults alike are the bakery treats found across property. From the theme parks to the resort hotels, you’re likely to find something sweet and Mickey-themed beckoning to you from a pastry case. Let’s shine a spotlight on a group of five bake shop treats that might be calling your name on your next vacation.
Disney Dining at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival– The Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and doing so in style. Never is Epcot more beautiful. Disney goes out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect, and plants thousands of new flowers just for the event, not to mention the 50+ topiaries. If you are going to visit Epcot, this is the time of the year to do it.
Pretzels at Walt Disney World– If you’re looking for a quick and filling snack while on your Disney vacation you might want to grab a pretzel. They are relatively inexpensive (by Disney standards, at least) and they taste great. The plain pretzels are also vegan, although if that is important to you make sure that you ask before you buy. Most of the time a pretzel will count as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
Walt Disney World Character Dining– There’s no doubt about it, characters are a big part of a visit to Walt Disney World. The adults love to see their favorites as much as the children do, sometimes even more. For young children especially meeting the characters can be intimidating, Mickey as a cartoon on TV is much different than the life sized character just waiting to give the youngster a hug.
Disney’s Boardwalk 101– Disney’s BoardWalk is a shopping, dining and entertainment district in the Epcot resort area. It is a true Walt Disney World hidden gem: Many people (including locals) do not realize – or tend to forget — that it is there, as they assume when it is mentioned that someone is referring to Downtown Disney.
