Pretzels at Walt Disney World

If you’re looking for a quick and filling snack while on your Disney vacation you might want to grab a pretzel. They are relatively inexpensive (by Disney standards, at least) and they taste great. The plain pretzels are also vegan, although if that is important to you make sure that you ask before you buy. Most of the time a pretzel will count as a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan. You can find plain soft pretzels, stuffed pretzels and even pretzels with a dip on the side. The problem is that all pretzel types are not available at all parks. The park map that you get at the entrance is also not always helpful when trying to locate the nearest place from which to buy pretzels. If you know where to look you will be able to buy a delicious snack without being disappointed.

The resort hotels and Disney’s BoardWalk are not included here, neither are the snack stands at the pools. Hard pretzels like those that you’ll find at Goofy’s Candy Company are also not included. Some sit down restaurants at Walt Disney World serve pretzel rolls with their meals, those places aren’t listed as well. You might from sometimes see pretzels at places that are not mentioned here. Disney will try out new snacks and locations from time to time so pretzels might appear elsewhere. If you see a pretzel for sale not listed here that looks good, try it! With Disney pretzels you will not be disappointed.

Magic Kingdom

Two much loved specialty pretzels can be found at the Magic Kingdom. Stop by The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland for a Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel. They are as delicious as they sound! Fans of Disneyland have long wondered when Mickey Pretzels would make it to Florida. They are now sold at the Magic Kingdom. You can find those at the Lunching Pad as well. Cool Ship, which is also in Tomorrowland, also has Mickey Pretzels. Rumor has it that Walt Disney World has been experimenting, looking for other good locations in which to sell Mickey Pretzels, so keep your eyes open while you’re at the parks.

Epcot

If you’re looking for a different type of pretzel you will want to head to World Showcase. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion sells Sweet Raisin Pretzels with icing and either chocolate or almonds. Soft pretzel lovers will enjoy the simple Authentic Hand-Twisted Pretzels that are sold at Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you’re looking for a plain soft pretzel at DHS you can buy one at Anaheim Produce on Sunset Boulevard. They are also sold at Herbie’s Drive In near the entrance to Lights, Motors Action! Extreme Stunt Show. If you would rather have something a bit more filling stop by Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner on Echo Lake. You can also buy a Frankfurter in a Pretzel Roll.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

One of the most coveted pretzels in all of Walt Disney World is sold at Animal Kingdom. Harambe Fruit Market is where you will find the incredible Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel for $4.49. Some people say that they are even better than the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzels that are available at the Magic Kingdom. For $3.99  at Harambe Fruit Market you can buy a plain soft pretzel and for an extra $0.99 you can get a cup of cheese to dip it in.

Disney Springs

If you’re looking for soft pretzel overload you will want to check out Disney Springs. If you’re in Marketplace stop by Wetzel’s Pretzels Express Kiosk. They sell Original Pretzels or Wetzel Bitz pretzel bites. You can also choose a specialty pretzel; they have almond crunch, sour cream and onion, or sinful cinnamon. You can also pay a little extra and have a dip, with the choices being sweet caramel, pizza sauce, cheddar, honey mustard, jalapeno cheese, cream cheese or sweet glaze. If you head over to Disney Springs’s West Side you’ll find even more choices at Wetzel’s Pretzels / Haagen-Dazs. They have the same delicious choices as the Marketplace location but they also have a Sun Dried Tomato & Pesto specialty pretzel. In addition to all that they sell Cheese Meltdown, Pepperoni Twist, Jalapeno Cheese Melt and Grateful Garlic, which are baked cheese pretzels. You can also buy a Wetzel Dog.

Disney’s Water Parks

If you want a jumbo soft pretzel while enjoying a day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach stop by the Cooling Hut. You can buy a Pretzel Dog with cheese that comes with chips at Avalunch. At Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon jumbo soft pretzels are sold at Surf Doggies. Your kids can get a Grilled Cheese Pretzel as part of the kid’s meal at Leaning Palms.

About PaulaK

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010 we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the parks. Under the name Paula Brown I penned the novels Dream Wanderers and The Coffee Cruiser. I also am a co-author of Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida. I've been a vegetarian for well over a decade, a choice that my daughter eventually made as well. While my husband still hasn't joined us fully he has given up most meats except for seafood. I was relieved to find that vegetarian dining is not difficult at Walt Disney World.
