4. Fantasmic! Dining Package

Fantasmic! is considered a must see show by most guests to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, getting a good seat takes up valuable vacation time, people start lining up 90 minutes or more before the show is scheduled to start. The seats are quickly filled and standing room is all that is left, meaning that your children (and possibly you as well) will most likely not be able to see everything. Disney has come up with a solution, the Fantasmic! Dining Package. All that you need to do is to make a lunch or dinner reservation at the Hollywood Brown Derby or Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, or a dinner reservation at Hollywood & Vine. You can visit http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/reservations/dining to make your reservation or call 407-939-3463. If you call make sure that you specify that you want the Fantasmic! Dining Package. The package does not cost extra but you are required to reserve your spot with a credit card. If you need to cancel there is a $10 charge per person in your party if it is 48 hours or less before the reservation. After your meal you will be given a voucher that will allow you and those who dined with you to sit in a special section for the show. On evenings where there are two performances the vouchers are good only for the first one. Arrive 30-45 minutes early and enjoy your seat!

About PaulaK

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010 we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the parks. Under the name Paula Brown I penned the novels Dream Wanderers and The Coffee Cruiser. I also am a co-author of Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida. I've been a vegetarian for well over a decade, a choice that my daughter eventually made as well. While my husband still hasn't joined us fully he has given up most meats except for seafood. I was relieved to find that vegetarian dining is not difficult at Walt Disney World.
