Could Your 2027 Disney Trip Get Priced Out? New Lands Threaten Double-Digit Ticket Spike
Disney World fans now have plenty to circle on the 2027 calendar, but there’s another number that could eventually demand their attention: the price of getting through the gates.
Walt Disney World has confirmed major 2027 openings at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Monstropolis will begin welcoming guests, while Pueblo Esperanza will bring several new attractions to Animal Kingdom.
Those projects give families new reasons to book a trip. They also arrive as Disney World admission is already hitting new highs.
Disney has released pricing for 2027 through October 31, leaving two important months unanswered. With November and December still unavailable, the combination of new attractions and holiday demand raises an obvious question: How much higher could Disney go?
Disney hasn’t announced another increase. But a hypothetical 10% jump would produce some remarkable prices.
Disney’s 2027 Prices Are Already Climbing
Guests don’t have to wait for the new expansions to see higher prices.
Disney has already released vacation packages and ticket prices through October 31, 2027. Since Disney uses date-based pricing, the cost of a one-day ticket varies by park and date.
Magic Kingdom reaches $219 on currently available 2027 dates. That’s $10 above its $209 peak price in 2026.
The other parks aren’t far behind. EPCOT reaches $214, while Disney’s Hollywood Studios hits $209. Disney’s Animal Kingdom, traditionally the least expensive of the four parks, reaches $189.
Those differences become much bigger once an entire family gets involved.
Four $219 Magic Kingdom tickets would cost $876 before taxes. That’s admission for a single day before adding accommodations, meals, transportation, souvenirs, or Lightning Lane purchases.
And 2027 is bringing considerably more for Disney to promote.

Two Parks Are Getting Major Additions
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be one of the places to watch.
Monstropolis will begin opening in 2027. The Monsters, Inc.-themed area will eventually feature Disney’s suspended-door coaster, along with restaurants, shopping,g and entertainment.
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, an even larger project is preparing to welcome guests.
Pueblo Esperanza, the new Tropical Americas area, will open in 2027. Its lineup includes Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos.
That could give Animal Kingdom a particularly interesting position.
The park has historically offered lower one-day prices than Magic Kingdom. Pueblo Esperanza will offer Disney several major new experiences to market there once the park opens.
However, there’s still one major piece of the 2027 puzzle Disney hasn’t revealed.

The Most Expensive Months Are Still Missing
Disney’s currently released 2027 bookings stop at October 31.
That means we still don’t know what tickets will cost in November and December, when Thanksgiving, Christmas,s and New Year’s crowds can drive considerable demand.
Those months could become even more interesting depending on when the new expansions debut.
Disney hasn’t announced exact opening dates for Monstropolis or Tropical Americas. Both are coming in 2027, leaving open the possibility that major portions could debut later in the year.
If that happens, holiday demand could overlap with interest in Disney’s newest additions.
None of this guarantees another ticket increase. Disney has not announced a 10% hike or said the expansions will lead to higher admission prices.
Still, the unreleased November and December calendars leave room for higher peak prices.

A 10% Increase Would Push Prices Much Higher
So what happens if Disney eventually raises those current maximums by 10%?
Magic Kingdom provides the largest number.
A 10% increase on $219 would put a peak ticket at approximately $241. EPCOT could move from $214 to around $235.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios could rise from $209 to roughly $230.
Then there’s Animal Kingdom. Increasing its $189 maximum by 10% would bring the price to approximately $208, pushing the park beyond the $200 mark.
Disney wouldn’t necessarily need to increase every date by the same amount. Its date-based system gives the company the flexibility to charge more during high-demand periods while keeping rates lower on other dates.
That’s why the final two months of 2027 could prove so important.

Disney Fans Have Another Number to Watch
There’s no question that 2027 will give Disney World guests more to experience.
Monstropolis and Pueblo Esperanza will bring substantial additions to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. At the same time, ticket prices have already reached new territory before Disney has even revealed November and December.
A 10% increase remains purely hypothetical. Disney hasn’t announced one, and the new expansions don’t guarantee that prices will climb that much.
But with a $219 Magic Kingdom ticket already on the calendar, families planning a late-2027 trip may want to pay close attention when Disney finally reveals those missing holiday prices.
