With both the good and the bad, it seems like there is an endless supply of social media videos that go viral regarding Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort Parks. One viral video shows a Disney fan requesting help as a reaction to a normal, crowded attraction queue.
Head on over with us to Walt Disney World’s beloved EPCOT, where the Park’s massive overhaul is underway. The Disney Park is transforming from Future World and World Showcase to four neighborhoods, including World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase.
While most of the current construction is taking place at World Nature with Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, World Discovery has just recently taken down several construction walls to reveal the incredible new Disney experience, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
The indoor roller coaster attraction is a hot spot at EPCOT but still requires a Cosmic Rewind Virtual Queue pass or individual Lightning Lane purchase in the My Disney Experience App, as no standby line is available.
With no standby line available and only reservation-type options to ride, you’d think Disney would have a better handle on the attraction’s crowd level. With that said, there is one part of the attraction you can expect to find yourself in the middle of tons of people.
Before taking a seat in a Guardians of the Galaxy ride vehicle, Guests usher through two rooms to set the storyline in place for the ride. The crowd gathers in room one, then is ushered into room two, where more of the story unfolds.
As Guests exit the second room, they are ushered into a room that turns into a hallway. This forces Guests to form a line while they wait to be loaded into ride vehicles.
The experience is similar to the experience of leaving the Haunted Mansion stretching room at Magic Kingdom and being in a crowd as it dwindles down to line form for Guests to hop in a doom buggy.
It’s extremely common to find oneself waiting in this area on Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind as Disney Cast Members work the load the attraction ride vehicles.
One Disney fan, however, is going viral for a clip of this space. Being among the crowd, she notes, “Send help… or at least a La Cava marg.” Check out the @disney_with_bren video below:
We have noticed sometimes the wait to transition from the room to the line does get long… and it is hot! But it’s all part of the normal boarding process for Cosmic Rewind.
On occasion, we exited the second room and walked right into line with no crowd, which is always a huge plus… but not to be expected.
If visiting EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction, go ahead and plan for this normal boarding process so you won’t be eager to ask the Disney fandom to “send help.” The wait is well worth the ride!
