Most people enjoy popcorn to some extent, and some people absolutely love it. I am on the latter end of the spectrum, and put popcorn in my top 10 snack options. I especially love Disney World popcorn, which always seems extra flavorful and magical.
Now, if you’ve been to Disney World before, or if you’ve done any research about it at all, you’re likely well aware that the parks sell popcorn. What most people don’t realize is that the crunchy snack actually comes in a variety of flavors. As someone who visits the parks often, I appreciate this, as it allows me to enjoy popcorn in Disney World regularly without getting tired of it. If you are a fellow popcorn lover, you’ll probably appreciate the various flavors just as much as I do.
Wondering what kinds of popcorn flavors you might find during your Disney World vacation? Below I’ve listed the absolute best popcorn options in Disney World right now. That said, new flavors are introduced throughout the parks from time to time, so be sure to keep an eye out for more options while you’re there!

Classic Buttered Popcorn
First on my list is the classic butter flavored freshly popped popcorn found at the outdoor kiosks around WDW. This stuff is made using the official popcorn of Disney Parks, Pop Secret brand popcorn. It is always salted to perfection, is vegan, and is simply delicious.
I always keep a refillable Disney popcorn bucket on hand, so we can fill it up for $2 when the cravings kick in, and my family will often have more than one bucket-full during a park visit.
This is definitely the go-to option if you’re wanting a salty crunchy snack that can be munched on the go, and I love that it is available in every Disney park and Disney Springs. Of course, it’s also nice that those popcorn buckets make it so much more afforable.
Maple Popcorn
Guests who prefer a sweet flavored popcorn over the regular popcorn might want to head to the Canada pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. Here, you can find an interesting flavor of popcorn that I’ve yet to see outside of Disney World and specialty popcorn shops: maple. Obviously, this is a fitting flavor for the Canada pavilion, and it’s very well done, with just the right amount of sweetness.
Currently, this is the only specialty popcorn that can be purchased as a popcorn bucket refill. (That’s right, you can snag a popcorn refill of this stuff for only $2 if you have a refillable bucket!) We do hope to see the gourmet popcorn cart near the Imagination! pavilion again one day so we can grab more awesome flavors with our refills, but for now, the maple will definitely keep us happy enough.

Caramel Popcorn
Caramel popcorn is available in a few places in the parks. One favorite spot to pick up some fresh-made caramel corn is Big Top Treats in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom theme park. This sweet popcorn is quite tasty, and we appreciate that it’s made in-house. That said, if we’re only going to have caramel corn once on a Disney World trip, we will always choose to wait until we can get to Karamell-Küche at the Germany pavilion in Epcot.
Karamell-Küche is a caramel shop that offers all kinds of amazing caramel sweet treats. My favorite is the caramel corn that is made fresh throughout the day. The caramel that coats each kernel is buttery, sweet, and absolutely perfect, and I find that a single small bag is enough to share with a couple of people, making this a great value.
Custom Candy Popcorn
The newest addition to the Disney World popcorn lineup can be found at Main Street Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom. Here, you can head to the Kernel Kitchen to create your own deliciously sweet popcorn mix.
First, you’ll choose a popcorn base. The choices are plain cheddar, caramel, or rainbow candy, and you can either pick one or mix two flavors together.
The next step is to pick your toppings. These include mix-ins like a variety of M&Ms, chopped Snickers bars, chopped Twix, Skittles, crushed cookies, mini marshmallows, and crushed pretzel. Additionally, there are milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate sauces that can be drizzled over your creation.
Not only is it super fun to create your own mix, the end result is quite yummy, meaning you get a memorable experience and a memorable treat for one (not very high) price!

Outpost Popcorn Mix
Finally, we must mention the Outpost Popcorn Mix found at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. This unique popcorn stand serves up two types of popcorn: a traditional butter flavor that is colored blue for fun effect, and the Outpost Popcorn Mix, which is definitely our favorite of the two.
The Outpost Popcorn Mix is a red and purple popcorn-based treat. The purple pieces are a candy grape flavor. Meanwhile, the red bits have a spicy cinnamon flavor. The two flavors come together to make an interesting blend that is unlike anything we’ve ever had, but still quite tasty.
Of course, it’s totally fun to eat such a colorful snack while wandering through the Star Wars scenery as well!
Honorable Mention: Prepackaged Popcorn
Though it didn’t quite make our list, we feel like we should also mention the prepackaged popcorn that is sold in gift shops across the parks. Despite being less-than-fresh, these popcorn treats are still pretty tasty, and we appreciate the many flavors that are available.
Some flavors you might see include:
- Kettle Corn
- Butter Toffee Almond
- Blueberry Almond
- Caramel
- Turtle
- Parmesan Garlic
- Confetti
- Cheddar
- Chocolate Caramel with Sea Salt
- Sriracha Kettle Corn
- Churro
- Maple Bacon
That said, there are always new flavors being rotated in, so Disney fans are always reporting new flavor discoveries.
Ready to try some of these awesome popcorn options on your next Walt Disney World Vacation? We’re betting you find one or two to love and keep coming back for.
