10 Things We Love About the Main Street Confectionery

I’ve always been a fan of the Main Street Confectionery. I mean, who wouldn’t be a fan of fancy Victorian decor, a sweet smell, and delicious treats everywhere you turn? That said, since the recent refurbishment of this wonderful Magic Kingdom establishment, I am an even bigger fan of the place and plan to visit often next time I’m down there.

Wondering what I love so much about the place? Well, if my earlier descriptions of the shop aren’t enough to leave you hankering to go there, maybe I should list all the things I love about it.

Below, I give you a collection of things I love about the Main Street Confectionery on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. Bet you won’t want to miss it after reading this list!

Excellent Location

First, I must mention the location of this amazing shop. As you might have figured out, the Main Street Confectionery is located on Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom theme park. Not only that, it’s right at the front of the park (a few doors before you get to the Main Street Bakery Starbucks), making it incredibly easy to step inside right as you arrive for the day and grab something delicious to fuel your adventures.

Of course, it’s equally easy to do your sweets shopping at the end of the night as you’re heading out of the park, meaning you can grab some treats for the road.

Fresh New Look

As I said before, this candy shop was recently renovated. While there was nothing wrong with the color scheme and decor before, I am in love with its fresh new look. From the adorable, mouth-watering window displays on the outside to the stunning blue and gold color scheme, it couldn’t be any more inviting, and I can’t imagine how one could resist going inside and doing some shopping these days.

Watch Treats Being Made

One of the most fun things about visiting this shop is that it’s actually a show and a shopping experience all in one. You see, many of the treats served up in the store are actually made in-house, and guests are invited to watch through windows as these sweets are being prepared. It’s great fun to see where your snacks are coming from, and kids especially love to witness the process.

Amazing Baked Goods

Okay, now let’s talk a little bit about the sweets that are served here. Not only are many of them made on-site, but the baked goods in the cases here are to die for. Whether you order fudge, a cupcake, a cake pop, a rice crispy treat, or something else entirely, you’re sure to love it.

In fact, we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see you return multiple times in a single trip just to try as many of these baked goods as possible before going home.

Fun Candy Apples

Some of the very best candy apples in the world are found at Walt Disney World Resort. Both candy and caramel apple options are available, and toppings of all kinds are used to decorate them.

Like your candied apples with nuts? You got it! Prefer candies or sprinkles on your candy apple? That’s an option too. Main Street Confectionery even sells character-inspired candy apples that are not only adorable (and totally Insta-worthy) but also taste incredible.

Build Your Own Popcorn

A new addition to Main Street Confectionery is the build-your-own popcorn station. Here, you are given a choice of popcorn (rainbow, caramel, and butter are a few of the options). You can then top your chosen popcorn with a sauce such as white chocolate or milk chocolate, along with an assortment of toppings such as chocolates and pretzels. This is a totally fun popcorn experience that leaves you with a tasty treat to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Mix and Match Candy

Another fun way to build your own snack is to head to the mix-and-match candy station, which the Main Street Confectionery has dubbed the “Color Kitchen”. Here, you can choose from an assortment of colorful candies to create your own mix.

Mix candy-coated chocolates to create a special holiday mix; pick only candies in your favorite color; or, make a rainbow of Skittles candies and M&Ms to take with you. How you mix and match is totally up to you!

Unique Glacier Drinks

If you’ve never tried Goofy’s Glaciers, your next visit to Disney World should definitely include one of these frozen beverages. One place to grab one is the Main Street Confectionery (though they don’t refer to them as Goofy’s Glaciers, simply calling them Glaciers instead).

Right now the blue raspberry, fruit punch, lemonade, orange, and lime flavors are available and can be mixed and matched. Additionally, they have a special Glacier menu that includes things like the Orange Brrr’d, which is an orange and lime Glacier with vanilla syrup, whipped cream, and a gummy worm.

House-Made Cotton Candy

As if the confections mentioned so far weren’t enough, Main Street Confectionery is also home to a fresh-made cotton candy station. Here, you can watch cotton candy being made and then purchase some of the freshest cotton candy you’ll ever enjoy.

Take-Home Options

Finally, we have to mention the many packaged sweet treats such as gummies and hard candies from Goofy’s Candy Co. and chocolates made by Ethel M. Chocolate. These make excellent take-home goodies for those who are looking for something for the long ride home, or some Disney magic to take back to their loved ones.
