Move Over Jack Sparrow. It’s Time to Talk About Bruno!

Disney fans love talking about Jack Sparrow. We love his strangeness and antics, but now it is time for him to head out as someone new brings the strange to Walt Disney World. Even though we aren’t supposed to talk about him, Disney fans are excited for Bruno to be in Magic Kingdom. Disney fans have been anxiously waiting for the beloved characters of Encanto (2021) to appear throughout Disney Parks worldwide.

Since Encanto (2021) was in theatres, Disney fans quickly fell in love with the Family Madrigals, who all live together in the beautiful Casa Madrigal. Full of incredible characters, a wonderful message, and fantastic music, Encanto touched the hearts of many.

One of the most popular songs created by Lin Manuel Miranda for the movie continues to be “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”  This catchy song quickly became a household favorite throughout the world.

Even though we aren’t supposed to talk about him, we are thrilled that Bruno is now at Walt Disney World. Bruno started making his Walt Disney World appearance as part of Disney’s Aventure Friends Cavalcade.

This cavalcade features over 25 Disney and Pixar characters and now includes Bruno. Disney’s Adventure Friend Cavalcade takes place most days in the Magic Kingdom. Following the parade route starting in Frontierland and ending on Main Street, U.S.A., guests have a lot of areas throughout the park that would provide a great view of Bruno and others.

This specific cavalcade happens twice a day, most days at Magic Kingdom. Surprisingly, the two times are both in the late evening. Because guests only have two times throughout the day to see Bruno, planning can be challenging. Start by double-checking My Disney Experience to confirm times during your visit.

Since this is the first time guests on the East Coast can see Bruno,  we imagine this cavalcade will draw a larger crowd than others. If it is your priority to see Bruno, find a spot early.

Guests visiting Disneyland in 2022 were able to interact with Bruno. His first appearance in a Disney park occurred during the Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure. Bruno joined other villains during this special ticketed event. Here, guests experienced villains such as Mother Gothel, Maleficent, Dr. Faciller, Sid, Cruella, and others.

Bruno isn’t the only character from Encanto (2021) to start making appearances at Magic Kingdom. On September 15, Mirabel began greeting guests at Fairytale Garden. This meet and greet replaces Merida from Brave (2012). Fans of Merida shouldn’t be concerned as she has found a new location in Liberty Square.

Although you won’t be able to get personal pictures with Bruno, having him in Disney’s Adventures Cavalcade is a great way to allow even more guests to see him daily.

Now it is time to talk about Bruno as he entertains guests daily at Magic Kingdom during this fun cavalcade. Sorry, Jack Sparrow. We love your silliness and oddness, but there’s a new odd man in town, and we will talk about it.

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next… More »
