Encanto fans… this is for you!
Walt Disney World Resort is a place where magic happens every single day; it is the ultimate destination for Disney fans from all over the world. And this year, Disney fans have yet another reason to visit the happiest place on earth: Bruno from Encanto is coming to Walt Disney World.
‘Encanto’ Fever Takes Over the World
In 2021, Disney released the movie-musical Encanto. The film tells the story of the Madrigal family, who have magical powers except for the youngest child, Mirabel. Fans immediately gravitated toward the themes of family, tradition, and finding your place in the world.
What especially caught the attention of the world was the film’s incredible music created by Lin Manuel Miranda. The Encanto score immediately began topping charts. For months after the film’s release, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” was inescapable due to its international success.
Now it seems that Bruno, the subject of the song, will be calling Walt Disney World Resort home very soon.
Disney Issues “Bruno” Casting Call
As of this morning, Disney casting is hard at work searching for actors to portray the role of Bruno within the Parks. On July 8 at 9 a.m., Disney’s team of casting directors will begin their search for the perfect Bruno. They are looking for someone 5’6″-5’9″ who has an “athletic build, with an expressive, careful, and selfless personality.”
According to the casting call, this character will appear at “future special events.” Many Guests believe that he will be a part of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Some fans are finding the humor in how long it took for Disney to add Bruno to the Parks. One fan jokes, saying;
“So it’s 572 days for Disney to think, “Maybe we should cast a performer for this hit movie.”
While Bruno appeared at Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure last year, this will be his first appearance at Walt Disney World Resort.
