We’re back with another installment of “From the Bottom to the Top”, where we check out specific categories of things at the Walt Disney World Resort and rank them. In the past, we’ve looked at attractions in the Disney Parks, the Disney Resorts, and now in this installment, we’re moving our focus over to Disney Springs to check out some dining options. Disney Springs is home to a ton of restaurants, including many table service options that feature unique themes and mouthwatering menus.
Taking theming, cuisine, décor, and more into account, let’s check out the ranking of table service restaurants in Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort and see which location comes out on top!
21. Rainforest Café
Starting at the bottom, we have Rainforest Café, a table service restaurant in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs. Open for lunch and dinner each day, Rainforest Café features a volcano towering over the restaurant that occasionally erupts and an immersive interior with lush jungle vegetation, a large fish tank, and animatronic animals. While the menu is very extensive, there’s nothing unique or amazing offered up at Rainforest Café and it’s not even the only location on property at the Walt Disney World Resort (there’s another restaurant found at the entrance of Disney’s Animal Kingdom). There are plenty of better table service restaurant options throughout Disney Springs to enjoy and Guests are best off skipping Rainforest Café.
20. Planet Hollywood
Another chain table service restaurant that can be found in Disney Springs is Planet Hollywood, which has welcomed Guests for many years to dine on American favorites amongst memorabilia and props from some of Hollywood’s biggest hits. Located in the Town Center area of Disney Springs, Planet Hollywood recently saw a revamping of its lunch and dinner menus and while the options are now more appealing, it’s still a kitschy restaurant amongst many other better choices throughout Disney Springs.
19. House of Blues Restaurant
Also falling near the bottom of the list of table service restaurants in Disney Springs is the House of Blues Restaurant, located in the West Side. The House of Blues features locations across the country and celebrates the history of music with live event spaces, performances, and a menu that blends Southern cooking with global cuisine. The House of Blues Restaurant is home to a pretty awesome brunch with some delicious menu items and the option of bottomless beverages, but Guests can find another location in many places throughout the country and are better off enjoying another location in Disney Springs that is unique.
18. City Works Eatery & Pour House
Also found on the West Side of Disney Springs is City Works Eatery & Pour House, a table service restaurant that combines the laid-back atmosphere of a traditional sports bar with an impressive selection of on-tap options. The restaurant is open daily for brunch, lunch, and dinner and serves up American pub favorites with over-the-top ingredients that pair perfectly with nearly one hundred beer options on tap. City Works Eatery & Pour House is a great location to visit if Guests are looking to catch a big game while in Disney Springs, but there are plenty of other options that rank higher for a regular meal.
17. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
Wolfgang Puck is one of the most influential chefs in the world and has become famous over the years for his mastery of California cuisine, featuring fresh and light ingredients prepared in decadent and delicious ways. The chef’s legendary cuisine can be enjoyed for brunch, lunch, and dinner each day at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in the Town Center of Disney Springs, which features a relaxing interior that blends rustic wooden beams and ceilings, modern industrial lighting, and bold pops of red leather in booth seating. With some of Wolfgang Puck’s signature dishes and a relaxing atmosphere, Guests are sure to enjoy a meal at this table service restaurant.
16. Terralina Crafted Italian
There are several table service restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort that focus on authentic Italian cuisine, including Terralina Crafted Italian found in The Landing in Disney Springs. This table service restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and invites Guests in to dine on a selection of regional Italian dishes masterfully crafted by Executive Chef Justin Plank. In addition to waterfront views of Lake Buena Vista, Guests who dine at Terralina Crafted Italian can dig into comforting and delicious meals amongst an intimate atmosphere filled with rustic stonework and arches, dramatic chandeliers, and stunning vaulted ceilings.
15. T-REX
One of the most immersive table service restaurants in Disney Springs is T-REX Café, which welcomes Guests to prehistoric times in the Marketplace area. This thematic dining experience features several themed rooms that bring animatronic dinosaurs to life amongst tables and even features an ice cave with vibrant blue hues that change throughout each meal. The menu at T-REX for lunch and dinner is fairly extensive and focuses on American favorites, with many items being very similar to those offered up at Rainforest Café. While the food is not particularly great at T-REX, kids and kids at heart will love the unique theme which is unlike anything else at the Walt Disney World Resort.
14. Jaleo by Jose Andres
One of the newest table service restaurants in Disney Springs focuses on authentic Spanish cuisine and tapas from Chef Jose Andres. Jaleo by Jose Andres originally opened in Washington, DC in 1993 and quickly gained fame for its cuisine served in unique ways meant to be shared amongst diners. Jaleo by Jose Andres in Disney Springs continues this approach with a menu that features fresh cheese and meat options, tapas, seafood, and more, as well as the indulgent Jaleo Experience, which offers up a chef’s selection of tasting items. Jaleo by Jose Andres is a great table service restaurant for Guests who are interested in sharing feasts of Spanish cuisine, but it might be a miss for those with young children.
13. Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas
One of the most diverse menus offered in Disney Springs can be found at Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas in The Landing area. This vibrant and inviting table service restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and features a lengthy menu that celebrates the diverse and delicious culinary styles and ingredients found throughout the dozens of countries found in North, Central, and South America. In addition to the diverse and delicious food, Guests who dine at Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas can enjoy live music each evening, sip on 37 varieties of options from a “tequila tower,” and enjoy beautiful breezes and views of Lake Buena Vista from an outdoor patio overlooking the water.
12. Frontera Cocina
The Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is home to some delicious authentic Mexican cuisine, but Disney Springs also features an amazing table service restaurant serving up traditional Mexican flavors and favorites. Frontera Cocina can be found in the Town Center area of Disney Springs and serves up a wonderful menu for lunch and dinner each day crafted by James Beard Award winner Chef Rick Bayless. The interior of the restaurant features a vibrant and modern take on traditional Mexican culture and design, which is also reflected in the menu of traditional flavors updated in contemporary ways.
11. The Edison
One of the most unique dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort is The Edison, which is nestled in The Landing of Disney Springs and welcomes Guests in with an interesting and immersive theme. Open for dinner only, The Edison is intricately themed to feel like an electric company from the 1920s, with gothic accents and details throughout specially named rooms, including the Telegraph Lounge, Radio Room, Patent Office, and Tesla Lounge. While dining on classic American cuisine including some indulgent burger options, Guests can also enjoy an array of like entertainment at The Edison including jazz musicians, stilt walkers, magicians, and more.
10. Splitsville Dining Room
Bowling, retro theming, colorful cocktails, and some of the best sushi at the Walt Disney World Resort? This surprising combination is effortlessly pulled off at Splitsville Dining Room, a table service restaurant on the West Side of Disney Springs that welcomes Guests into a retro-themed bowling alley with plenty of lanes, pool tables, and upbeat lounges. The restaurant itself continues the fun theming while serving up lunch and dinner menus of classic American cuisine served up in inventive and exciting ways. Splitsville Dining Room is also surprisingly home to some of the best sushi options at the Walt Disney World Resort, making it a meal that shouldn’t be missed.
9. Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante
Authentic Italian cuisine meets old-world charm and unique theming at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante in The Landing area of Disney Springs. This table service restaurant welcomes Guests into a stunning dining room themed to feel like an airline terminal from the 1930s with soaring 50-foot ceilings, décor including vintage maps and travel artifacts, and beautiful views of Lake Buena Vista. The menus served up at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante for brunch, lunch, and dinner feature traditional Sicilian dishes from Southern Italy that are sure to leave Guests full and satisfied.
8. Enzo’s Hideaway
Slightly edging out Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante is its sister location, Enzo’s Hideaway, which can be found just steps away in The Landing area of Disney Springs. This table service restaurant features a secretive tunnel that Guests have to pass through that pays homage to the rum-running history of the prohibition era in Florida, offering Guests the chance to dine in a cozy interior that feels like a classic speakeasy. The lunch and dinner menus at Enzo’s Hideaway feature classic Italian favorites that pair perfectly with a menu of inventive specialty cocktails inspired by prohibition-era favorites.
7. Morimoto Asia
Guests looking to enjoy a truly spectacular culinary experience created by an Iron Chef have to enjoy a lunch or dinner at Morimoto Asia in The Landing. This table service restaurant is run by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto of Food Network fame and welcomes Guests into two floors of modern décor with touches of traditional Asian décor. Morimoto Asia features a truly decadent menu, featuring pan-Asian specialties from across the continent, offering Guests the chance to enjoy a culinary tour that showcases many different cuisines and flavors. From fresh sushi to Peking Duck and more, Morimoto Asia is a true foodie’s delight in Disney Springs.
6. Paddlefish
Seafood lovers spending time in Disney Springs cannot miss out on Paddlefish, a table service restaurant that serves up a fresh and wonderful menu that is almost as beautiful as its setting. Paddlefish is a unique location in that it brings Guests into a docked paddle boat on Lake Buena Vista where several modern dining rooms and outdoor decks showcase the beauty of the water as well as some spectacular sunset views each evening. The lunch and dinner menus at Paddlefish heavily focus on fresh seafood options with sustainable and fresh ingredients collected from the coasts of Florida and other coastal locations.
5. Wine Bar George
Kicking off the top five table service restaurants in Disney Springs, we have Wine Bar George, an incredibly popular location in The Landing area. Wine Bar George features a modern and industrial interior with exposed brick, metal details, and unique overhead lighting that create a cozy and intimate setting for Guests who dine there for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Featuring hundreds of wine options hand selected by Master Sommelier George Miliotes, Wine Bar George features a menu of small bites and charcuterie boards, in addition to several entrée selections making it a wonderful location to sip on delicious beverages while sampling culinary delights.
4. STK Orlando
There are several amazing steakhouse options throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, and one of the best can be found in the heart of Disney Springs. STK Orlando is a unique location that takes traditional steakhouse options and ingredients and serves them up in decadent ways in an ultra-modern dining room. Open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, Guests who enjoy a meal at STK Orlando can indulge in classic steakhouse cuts, sides, and more which have all been elevated with inventive ingredients and presentations making every single meal unforgettable.
3. Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant
Guests looking to enjoy a lively atmosphere with unforgettable live entertainment absolutely have to enjoy a meal at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in The Landing area of Disney Springs. This table service restaurant features a beautiful interior designed to feel like an authentic Irish pub, and right in the center is a stage where live bands and Irish step dancers perform throughout brunch, lunch, and dinner. The menus at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant focus on classic pub favorites, and each item features a cheeky name that will make Guests smile!
2. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’
Coming in at the number two spot for table service restaurants in Disney Springs is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, an extremely popular location in The Landing. Run by Chef Art Smith, the restaurant features a rustic and inviting interior with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and views out into Disney Springs through large windows. The brunch, lunch, and dinner menus focus on a fusion of classic Southern cooking and fresh local ingredients from Florida resulting in indulgent options including famous fried chicken, grits, deviled eggs, and more. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ also features some truly strong and delicious specialty cocktails, including some moonshine options that can be ordered throughout each meal as well as to go!
1. The Boathouse
The number one table service restaurant in Disney Springs is, hands down, The Boathouse, a popular and beautiful spot found right on the shores of Lake Buena Vista. The interior of The Boathouse features airy and large dining rooms with nautical details and theming including a massive raw bar that Guests can check out. Guests can also opt to dine outdoors on several large decks that overlook Lake Buena Vista, offering up a great spot to catch the breeze, enjoy the view, and indulge in wonderful cuisine. Open for lunch and dinner, The Boathouse features a very extensive menu of sea and land favorites that are all served in indulgent portions with fresh ingredients and flavors.
