When it comes to Walt Disney World, it goes without saying that it’s hard to keep track of each and every attraction and ride. Between Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT, that’s more than enough attractions to try and count by memory alone.
But when you think of the Disney Parks, there’s always a few attractions that stand out, leaving fans dazzled every time.
There’s so much debate on which attraction is the absolute best in Walt Disney World. But, when one person took to social media to ask for Guests’ opinions, here is what the fans said…

One fan of Walt Disney World asked, “[In] your opinion, what ride at WDW represents their crowning achievement in ride creation?”
Truthfully, the answers were mostly divided. One fan insisted that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was the best, while a couple insisted on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. A few fans mentioned the Tower of Terror, and at least one fan mentioned Avatar Flight of Passage.
But the attraction that was mentioned the most often was none other than Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion ride.

One fan wrote,
The Haunted Mansion has truly stood the test of time. It has created its own universe that does not get in its own way without relying on any pre-established stories. It has a compelling cast of characters, plenty of wit/humor, incredible details, and impressive special effects that still hold up. The fact that this is all done in a ~10 minute package (not too long or too short) is incredibly impressive. It also uses the medium of a slow ride effectively. Other newer rides can be very impressive on the first ride, but the effects wear off at a much faster rate due to their lengthy setups and reliance on spectacle. Haunted Mansion is a simple ride with complex detail that makes it easier to do over and over again.

The Haunted Mansion. You get the audio animatronics, the brilliant use of practical effects (some of which predate the ride by a full century), the soundtrack, iconic characters/voice over, and NONE of it is tied to IP.
Lastly, another fan wrote,
The haunted mansion. I think it’s truly the best dark ride ever to be created. The simplicity of much of the tech, keeping everything interconnected without an overarching plot to tie it all together. It’s brilliant from beginning to end in my book.

In short, Guests who love visiting Walt Disney World have been enamored with the Haunted Mansion for decades.
It holds up and doesn’t become any less impressive as more time goes by, the story remains interesting, all while being entirely separate from Disney IPs, and the special effects are still fun and interesting.
In short, fans love the originality, the spooky ambiance, and the audio animatronics of the Haunted Mansion.
