The Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World is a classic Disney ride that has been entertaining visitors since it first opened its doors in 1971. Designed to resemble an aging antebellum mansion, this attraction immerses Guests into a paranormal world filled with grim grinning ghosts, spooky apparitions, and chilling tales.

There really is no ride quite like the Haunted Mansion. For many fans, boarding a doom buggy and taking a journey through this frightful attraction is the best part of a Disney vacation. The Haunted Mansion’s popularity extends beyond the parks. It has become a cultural phenomenon, lending itself to various forms of entertainment and an entire fanbase of its own.
This summer, Disney is releasing a remake of the movie Haunted Mansion. The film is looking to be incredible, and it will likely bring in thousands of new Haunted Mansion superfans.
Magic Kingdom Attraction Closes Doors
Unfortunately, the Haunted Mansion has been showing its age as of late. The ride has recently been suffering numerous ride breakdowns. Because of its ongoing issues, Disney has made the decision to close the ride for refurbishment this summer. The Haunted Mansion will be closed from August 7-9, 2023, at Magic Kingdom Park. Hopefully, this closure fixed all of the problems needing to be addressed, and the ride can go back to entertaining Guests right away.

The new movie Haunted Mansion is set to be released on July 28, 2023, so fans will be able to get their Haunted Mansion fix soon enough. As a reminder, Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park will also be closing at the end of August as it transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday, opening on September 1, 2023.
