While visiting Walt Disney World, Guests can experience some pretty other-worldly sights and sounds.

Whether that’s riding Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom, experiencing Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, or visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.

But the most otherworldly sights and sounds of Walt Disney World can only be found in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar section.

If Guests are able to explore this world at night, they’ll discover how truly bioluminescent the theme park area is…However, Disney never gives Guests the chance.

It’s no secret that Animal Kingdom closes earlier than any other Disney World Park. But by closing as early as 7 p.m. in the summer, it means Guests are out of the theme park before the sun even begins to set.

We recently visited Walt Disney World Resort’s official website to check in on the extended hours for the month of August, and it turns out that Disney is continuing to withhold this otherworldly experience from Guests.

Throughout the month of August, Animal Kingdom’s extending hours from August 6-12, opening at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m.

On August 11 and 12, Animal Kingdom will close at 8 p.m. instead of 7 p.m., which is still not enough time to experience Pandora – The World of Avatar at night.
