The wait is over.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) is finally available for streaming at midnight on August 2. The final chapter (for now anyway) of the Guardians of the Galaxy series follows the scrappy Marvel misfits in one last adventure – to save Rocket.
Beginning officially on August 2 at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET). It’ll be available in every country where Disney Plus exists (minus Turkey and France).
The Franchise
According to writer-director James Gunn, it is the last we will see of the space heroes. But if your desire to watch Star-Lord, Groot, Rocket, and the rest make you laugh while they save the Galaxy, know that you always have Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
All of these are available on Disney Plus. However, if you’re not a current subscriber, you can purchase Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) (and the other movies) digitally from sites like Amazon.
Movie Details
The final entry in the franchise was the second highest-grossing film of the year and is currently the most successful film of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five. It stars the classic cast of characters from previous movies, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Groot, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin.
Critic Comments
The film currently has an 81% Critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 94% Audience score.
Feedback from Critics included phrases such as “A funny, big-hearted adventure” from the Chicago Sun-Times and “For all its backsliding into bleak—stop torturing Bradley Cooper’s talking raccoon—this spirited summer kickoff delivers the requisite thrill ride and ends the GOTG trilogy with the sweet sorrow of saying goodbye to these space dorks. It’s been a trip.” – Peter Travers ABC News.
