Actor Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson Speaks on Presidential Ambitions

It was back in April of 2021 that Dwayne Johnson began taking the possibility of becoming president more seriously. A report published by Newsweek explained that “At least 46% of Americans would support a presidential run from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, according to a new poll.”

This is a staggering amount of people that could see Johnson being the commander-in-chief of the United States of America.

Johnson responded with an Instagram post, saying;

“Humbling. I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick-up truck driving, fanny pack-wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people.”

Johnson Is Not Ruling out a 2024 Presidential Bid

After this post was made, fans began feeling more hopeful than ever that Johnson could be considering a campaign for President. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he explains that after the Newsweek poll came out, he personally did “a small amount of research and analysis to see where this comes from and to see what it could look like in the future.”

According to Johnson, “indicators are all very positive—in, for example, 2024, and in, for example, 2028.”

He goes on to explain, “You know, at the end of the day, I don’t know the first thing about politics. I don’t know the first thing about policy. I care deeply about our country. I care about every fucking American who bleeds red, and that’s all of them. And—there’s no delusion here—I may have some decent leadership qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make me a great presidential candidate. That’s where I am today.”

Johnson for President

As of recently, no significant comments have been made by Johnson or his team on whether or not they will be moving forward with his political aspirations. Johnson does not have a ton of expertise in the world of politics, but his passion and vigor have led a lot of Americans to believe that he would fight for this Country. Past Presidents, including former President Donald Trump, also came from backgrounds in fields other than politics.
