Walt Disney World has been aptly named the Most Magical Place on Earth, but this accident was anything but magical.

When it comes to visiting Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, frequent visitors of the Disney Parks will know that a ride on the Walt Disney World Monorail is one of the most magical ways to enter the Disney Park. But it’s always important to steer clear of the doors in case they malfunction, like in the story we’re reporting on today.

According to a report by ClickOrlando.Com, one woman is currently suing Disney due to a frightening accident regarding the Walt Disney World Monorail doors.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed yesterday morning, the Guest in question was visiting Walt Disney World’s EPCOT theme park on March 24 of this year. As she was riding the Disney Monorail to get into the Disney Park, the doors reportedly “malfunctioned” and “slammed shut” onto her, according to ClickOrlando’s report.

This malfunction reportedly lasted a “few minutes” but caused “excruciating pain” as well as “permanent injury,” according to the court records.

Not only that, but Disney World Cast Members reportedly did nothing to help. Instead, a number of fellow Guests had to assist while the Monorail Pilot simply “stated over the intercom that there had been a malfunction and that the monorail would be shut down so that the system could be restarted,” according to the ClickOrlando.
