The Disney Monorail and two more Guest-favorite experiences will close in July at one Disney Park so that Imagineers can refurbish the attractions.

Lots of changes and additions are always in the works at any entity owned by The Walt Disney Company. That’s because Disney is dedicated to the safest and most enjoyable Guest experience on every single visit. But part of Disney’s dedication to safety means that regular maintenance and of attractions in each Disney are imperative. No matter when you’re planning to visit the in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, or any of Disney’s theme park resorts around the globe, it’s always a good idea to look into which experiences and attractions are scheduled to be undergoing repairs or on the dates you plan to visit. and closures, though necessary, aren’t a lot of fun, especially if you’re not expecting them. No one likes to arrive at Disneyland Park, eager to see the differences between the Haunted Mansion in California and the Haunted Mansion in Florida, only to discover it’s closed for .
These refurbishments–these “necessary evils”–ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience for Guests and Cast Members alike. They are why the monorail at Disneyland Resort in California and two Guest-favorite experiences at Disney California Adventure are closing.

Disneyland’s monorail will close beginning July 5, 2023. As of the time of this publication, there is no posted reopening date, and the monorail shows “no times available” through at least mid-August.
Beginning July 5, Soarin’ Around the World at Disneyland will close for refurbishment. It is scheduled to reopen on July 14. In addition, Toy Story Midway Mania will close on July 17. As of the time of this publication, there is no posted reopening day for the Guest-favorite shooting game featuring the characters from PIXAR’s Toy Story film franchise, located at PIXAR Pier at Disneyland.
