If you’re a Taylor Swift fan and a lover of The Walt Disney Company, then this news is really going to blow your mind. Social media is murmuring that Disney and Taylor Swift are joining forces on a film currently set to debut in May 2024! Even though some of her hits include “Today Was a Fairytale,” “Wildest Dreams,” “Love Story,”  and the Folklore album, her upcoming role with Disney is probably not what you’re expecting.
Rumors are circulating that Disney has hired Taylor Swift to appear in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3 as a character called “Dazzler.” And If you take a look at the comic book character, you may see that she’s a pretty spot-on casting. So let’s take a look at who Dazzler even is and how this may have come to be!

Taylor Swift Joins the MCU as a Dazzling Superhuman
Dazzler, AKA Alison Blaire, is a Marvel Comics superheroine who first appeared in 1980. She is a mutant who can convert sound vibrations into dazzling lights and energy blasts and can also fly. Initially, Dazzler pursued a career as a singer and entertainer before becoming involved with the X-Men, which is where Taylor Swift comes in.
What real-life music star has a bigger audience and pull than Taylor Swift? Not to mention she really does look like the comic book character. It stands to reason that she’d be a pretty badass X-Men member, too.
How Disney and Taylor Swift Joined Forces

First things first, Taylor Swift’s concerts are known to make or break the local economy of wherever she holds one of her Eras Tour performances. If nothing else, The Walt Disney Company is basically guaranteed to sell a massive amount of tickets to her vast and loyal fanbase – even though most audiences agree that the superstar can’t really act.
But this Disney fan thinks her casting may have more to do with Taylor Swift’s close personal friendship with Deadpool‘s synonymous lead actor, Ryan Reynolds, and his family with actress wife, Blake Lively. Not only does Swift frequently hang out with the Hollywood power couple, but she has featured their three daughters in her music multiple times! Ryan and Blake were even in the audience when Taylor hosted SNL!
