A Walt Disney World Resort Guest recently faced a difficult situation.
Walt Disney World is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Guests head from near and far to visit Disney World. Disney World sees thousands of Guests daily. Walt Disney World is home to four theme parks Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney Park includes something for Guests of all ages and sizes.
Disney World is dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive experiences for Guests with disabilities. Disney’s commitment to accessibility is the provision of accessible entrances, pathways, and transportation throughout its theme parks. Guests with disabilities can experience attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and much more.
Guests who cannot wait in long lines can get the Disability Access Service or DAS. This service allows Disney Guests to receive a return time for an attraction, similar to a virtual queue, reducing the need to wait in line physically.
In a TikTok, One Disney Guest struggled to use the bathroom inside Magic Kingdom due to the handicapped bathroom being broken. This Disney World Guest is wheelchair-bound, so they tried to go to a regular stall in which the wheelchair could not fit. Sadly this Disney World Guest had to go to the bathroom with the door open.
@chronicallymaria This is a bathroom inside Magic Kingdom at Disney World. Some of the bathrooms aren’t very accessible; lots of sharp turns to enter the bathroom making maneuvering alone difficult, sinks that are too high, some accessible stalls are too small to transfer to the toilet, etc. @Disney Parks #chronicillness #accessibility #ada #accessible #disabilitypride #wheelchair #disney #magickingdom ♬ original sound – Chronically Ria
The inconvenience of Disney World having restrooms that are unavailable tends to cause issues for Guests heading to the bathrooms. Guests can experience long waits for the next restroom to become available or, in cases of the handicapped restroom being out of order, causing Guests with disabilities to figure out a new situation to use the restroom.
If Guests find a dirty restroom or have an issue, they can find their nearest Cast Member, and they will help fix the situation or they can point Guests towards the closest bathroom.
