A lot of thought can go into planning the perfect outfit to wear to a Disney theme park. Some people pick clothes that will be comfortable to walk around all day in. Others want to wear the cutest outfit possible, even though they know their body will hurt at the end of the day. Others spend time picking out the perfect pieces so that they can DisneyBound as their favorite character.

No matter what outfit each guest chooses to wear during their Disney day, they must ensure that they follow Disney’s dress code policies.

One woman recently visited Disneyland Resort and claimed that she was told she was in violation of Disney’s dress code.

Laci Kay Somers (@imlacikaysomers) has nearly 960,000 followers, and she took to the platform to show them the outfit she was wearing for the day. Lacy wore black athletic pants, a black sports bra, and a black hat. She turned in a circle for the camera and asked what she did to violate the dress code. She then shrugged and walked off to enjoy her day.

Many were surprised that Laci had been told her outfit was inappropriate, as workout wear is becoming increasingly popular, not only in theme parks but in general.

Some commented that Laci looked gorgeous and said she must have been “too hot” for Disneyland. Others said they had seen people wearing less while walking around the parks.

Cameo Lauren was one of those people who thought she looked great and that people who didn’t were jealous.

Whatttt…girl you’re in workout out/normal everyday attire..just cause you look ? in it..smh ain’t the way it goes though ??‍♀️haters

While Laci didn’t seem to be dressing inappropriately, there are plenty of videos on TikTok where guests show off outfits they know are not suitable for the theme park because they want to try to get free clothes.

For a long time, if Disney thought a guest was unsuitable for the parks, they would give the Guest a voucher to get a new piece of clothing to replace the one they couldn’t wear.

Unfortunately, because of the viral videos of the “free shirt hack,” most Disney Cast Members will no longer give vouchers. Guests are now told to either pay for a shirt themselves or return to their hotel room and change.

It is important to note that Cast Members can decide what outfit is inappropriate and what will not be allowed in the parks.

Disneyland Dress Code Policy

Listed on the Disneyland website under “Inappropriate Attire,” the rules note:

Attire that is not appropriate for the theme parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance or ejection) includes but is not limited to:

  • Costumes may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older
  • Masks may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older (unless they are for medical purposes)
  • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • Excessively torn clothing or loose fitting clothing which may drag on the ground and create a potential trip hazard
  • Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
  • Clothing with multiple layers are subject to search upon entry
  • Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs

  1. See those breasts popping out of the top of your shirt. “Not appropriate for a family entertainment venue”.

  2. Maybe it’s the BRA that was inappropriate. If she had a light top over the BRA, maybe it would be different. I don’t know.

  3. It’s the sports bra that got her dress coded. For them it showed too much skin for a “family environment” even though you can go to one of their water parks in Florida and see way less clothing. Plus. I’ve seen people wearing way more objectionable clothing in Disney, I’m talking shirt shirts with ripped butt cheeks where you can see their underwear, crop tops so short you can see their bras, but yet they got in.

  4. while I don’t think it’s that bad but since it’s disney’s right as a business to state dress codes on their property, if you don’t like it then leave…

  5. It’s a sports bra, not a shirt so I can understand her being stopped. Wear a tank top over it problem solved.

  6. But clearly this person didn’t get stopped from going into the park because the video was recorded on Main Street. So it couldn’t have been that big of a deal if she got in.

  7. I think it is the bra that was objectionable. I know that if my daughter wore that, I would have said….put a larger shirt over the top. The tightness of the outfit doesn’t leave much to imagination. If there weren’t guidelines people would be wearing very interesting clothes…like those on the Walmart Clothing Shaming sites out there.

  8. Perfect for a gym environment. It’s not appropriate attire for an amusement park.

  9. She’s an influencer and onlyfans “model”. This is actually for her advertising. It’s all for the clicks.

She is totally inappropriate for a FAMILY PARK , that’s a BRA not a shirt, if she wanted to wear it put something over it like maybe even a mesh tank but that’s just to get attention nothing more

I think she looks adorable, comfortable, and the top is covering as good if not better than some of the wet tees coming off water rides.I think sometimes we just react to looks like this because its hard to walk by someone dressed like this and we are in mom jeans with a muffin top and arms and shoulders that have been years passed showing. It’s her moment in time while she can she should be able to dress so comfortably cute. This would not offend me in the parks, but I might say”Look at that plane up in the sky” to my husband as she walked by.

  12. She obviously thinks herself as somethig specisl and ro get attention. Just tell her to leave for Disney sake.

  13. While it is not something that I would have ever worn, even when my body was made for it, I don’t see where there is anything wrong with it, maybe not teh appropriate place to wear it, but I have seen much worse. I do not think that she was body shamed t all though. The reality is that she probably wore it to get the response that she got so that she could add to her following….and here we are, falling right in.
