Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season is a truly enchanting experience, captivating visitors with its magical ambiance and festive spirit, but there’s no doubt this also comes with the cost of major crowding.
Due to the crowds at Disney World, guests may wish they purchased Disney Genie+. Disney Genie+ is a paid service that allows Disney World guests to make Lightning Lane reservations for certain attractions, thus minimizing their time waiting in long lines. This feature is an evolution of the previous FastPass system, offering more convenience and flexibility. Guests can purchase Disney Genie+ and reserve access to popular rides and attractions throughout the day, all through their smartphones.
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Genie+ has sold out for the second day in a row. Disney Genie+ was an all-time high $35.00 for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and despite the steep price, that didn’t stop guests from lining up to purchase the service off the My Disney Experience App. Due to Genie+ selling out, the Multi-Park option is no longer an available purchase choice.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Genie+ has also sold out at $29 dollars a day. Scott Gustin reported on Genie+ selling out so quickly today.

However, Disney guests still have the opportunity to purchase Genie+ at EPCOT for $32, and Magic Kingdom for $39.
Though it has only happened a few times since its inception, Disney Genie+ “selling out” can be a source of frustration for guests who hope to enjoy a specific ride but find that all reservations for that attraction have been snapped up.
With Disney Genie+ being sold out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, higher wait times for guests should be expected. Lucky guests who purchased Genie+ will be able to use Lightning Lane to lower their wait time during the day but don’t be surprised if the top attractions already have their reservations taken up.
If you plan to purchase Genie+ for your next visit, you may want to purchase as early as possible. Details on how to purchase Genie+ can be found on Disney’s official website.
