There is a long history of child stars (Disney and otherwise) having trouble later in life. Whether that manifests itself in addictions, unruly behavior, or criminal activity, it’s never good.
And we find ourselves again with another one.
Hannah Montana Star
This story involves Hannah Montana actor Michel Musso, who portrayed Oliver Oken on the hit Disney Channel series from 2006 to 2011. Over the past weekend, the former Disney child star was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft. According to the Rockwall police department, they were dispatched for a “disturbance at a hotel located in the 2600 Block of Lakefront Trail in Rockwall, TX.”
Once they arrived, officers found Musso drunk and eating a bag of stolen potato chips. According to the police, when the hotel owner asked Mitchel Musso to pay for the chips, he “became verbally abusive and left without rendering payment.”
The police also state that Musso appeared intoxicated and was taken into custody. The former Disney channel star spent the night in jail and was released on a $1,000 bound Sunday afternoon (August 27).
Throughout Mitchel Musso’s career, he starred in Secondhand Lions (2003). He voiced many animated characters, including a character on King of the Hill and the character Jeremy Johnson in Phineas and Ferb.
His Disney channel career also extended beyond Hannah Montana. In 2005, he played Raymond Figg in the Disney Channel Original Movie Life is Ruff, as well as appeared in the Disney Channel Games and The Suite Life on Deck.
Like many Disney stars, he also found himself performing songs. He recorded a remake of the song “Lean on Me” for the movie Snow Buddies and sang “If I Didn’t Have You” with Emily Osment.
