Walt Disney World Resort is full to the brim of attractions that have either become instant classics upon debuting or have earned the ‘classic Disney ride’ title after decades of operation.

But regardless of whether an attraction is a new classic or an old one, both are unfortunately subject to technical difficulties.

Sometimes, there’s the misconception that newer attractions don’t break down as often as older ones. Although it’s a damper on the Disney magic, it’s true that even newer rides close down due to technical difficulties. After all, the more moving parts that rely on technology, the more room for error.

Over in Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is experiencing one of these very closures.

At the time of this article’s publication, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance is “Temporarily Closed,” according to the official Walt Disney World Resort app.

Unfortunately, this Star Wars attraction is no stranger to temporary closures. Seeing as this attraction is incredibly intricate and complex, it comes as no surprise to hear that it suffers from technical difficulties more often than other attractions in the Disney Park.

Historically, though, these closures rarely last very long, and this Hollywood Studios ride will likely be up and running again soon.
