Disney’s ‘Cars Land’ Attraction Is Closing This Summer: Reopening Date ANNOUNCED

Unfortunately, fans of the movie Cars will not be able to ride one of the iconic attractions based on the film.

Located in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park, Radiator Springs Racers is an exhilarating attraction that brings the beloved Disney Cars franchise to life. This ride is a must-visit for fans of the movies.

Radiator Springs Racers Undergoes Refurbishment

Cars Land, part of Disney California Adventure, is an immersive land that transports guests into the charming world of Radiator Springs. The Radiator Springs Racer is a centerpiece of this area and one of the Park’s most popular attractions. This high-speed adventure takes Guests on a race against other Guests in the Parks.

Fans love this ride and were understandably upset when it was revealed that it would be closing for refurbishment this summer. Recently, Disneyland Resort has had a lot of refurbishment announcements. While fans understand that refurbishments are a necessary part of keeping the Parks up and running, it is also very frustrating to be spending time and money on a vacation just to miss out on your favorite rides.

End in Sight for ‘Cars Land’ Closure

Luckily, this closure is not going to be as long as Guests originally anticipated. When the closure was announced, Disney did not give Guests a timeline as to when the ride would be back up and running again. We now know that the ride will close on August 18, 2023, and reopen nine days later on August 27, 2023.

Compared to other closures at Disneyland Resort, this is a quick timeline. Guests visiting the Park on August 27 will be able to ride Radiator Springs Racers, but they will not be able to enjoy the Disneyland Monorail or the Haunted Mansion, which will both be closed.
