Another beloved Disney attraction is going to be soon unavailable for Guests to enjoy.
Right now, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is facing a large number of closures. The Resort is the oldest of any of the Disney theme Parks, and due to its age, renovations, and restorations of Disney’s iconic rides are necessary.
Many rides have closed or are planning to close down this summer. Included in this list are the Haunted Mansion, Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Other attractions that are closed include Tarzan’s Treehouse, the Disneyland Monorail, the French Market Restaurant, and Mint Julep Bar.
Now, another Disneyland ride will be shutting its doors to Guests.
Cars Land Attraction to Undergo Maintenance
Radiator Springs Racers Disneyland is a popular attraction that takes Guests on a thrilling ride through the world of Disney’s Cars. Located in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park, this immersive experience brings the beloved characters and stories from the Cars franchise to life.
Upon entering Cars Land, Guests are immediately transported to the quaint town of Radiator Springs. Complete with towering red rock formations and iconic landmarks from the Cars movies. At the Radiator Springs Racers attraction, Guests can enjoy a thrilling race through Radiator Springs, with Guests boarding their own vehicle modeled in the style of the characters from the films.
As part of the larger Disneyland Resort, Radiator Springs Racers has become a must-visit destination for both Disney fans and thrill-seekers alike. That is why many Disneyland Resort Guests will be saddened to hear that this ride is closing indefinitely later this summer.
A Summer of Closures
In a summer full of closures, this one is not the most surprising. Guests have been reporting that the ride needs work for a while. Earlier today, July 7, the Disneyland App updated to show that Radiator Springs Racers would be closing on August 18, 2023.
As of now, no update has been announced as to when this ride will be reopened. The ride’s page still has not been updated to reflect these changes.
