Walt Disney World Resort has been officially tagged as the Most Magical Place on Earth. But this morning must have missed its dose of pixie dust because nearly twenty rides were listed as ‘Temporarily Closed!’

Walt Disney World is made up of four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom. Undoubtedly, Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney Park with the highest attendance. Animal Kingdom is the least popular Disney Park, with the lowest attendance.
But this morning, Walt Disney World’s most and least popular theme parks experienced a staggering amount of ride closures due to a violent thunderstorm.

Magic Kingdom Park is home to over 40 rides, and about fifteen of them were closed this morning.
Each star on the map indicates an attraction that is listed as ‘Temporarily Closed.’ Here is the full list of Magic Kingdom rides closed this morning:
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Walt Disney World Railroad – Frontierland
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- Jungle Cruise
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- The Barnstormer
- Walt Disney World Railroad – Fantasyland
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Astro Orbiter
- Walt Disney World Railroad – Main Street, U.S.A.
Luckily, classic rides like Tomorrowland’s Space Mountain and Liberty Square’s Haunted Mansion are still available.

Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom also experienced a large amount of attraction closures:
- Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
- Kali River Rapids
- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- TriceraTop Spin
While four attraction closures may not seem like a lot, it’s about a fourth of the Disney Park’s offerings.
