Instead of a 5 or 15-minute wait, the Haunted Mansion displayed a mysterious 13-minute wait this morning on the Disney World mobile app.
Although this seems peculiar, diehard fans will recognize this as a neat little easter egg: the Haunted Mansion displays a 13-minute wait time when there is no wait time! So if you ever see this while visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, don’t walk, run to Liberty Square for a walk-on wait time for the Haunted Mansion!
However, any Guest visiting Magic Kingdom this morning was in for a rude awakening after making a dash for the advertised walk-on wait time.

Shortly after showing a 13-minute wait time, the Haunted Mansion swiftly closed its doors, and has remained closed since.
At the time of this article’s publication, the Haunted Mansion is still listed as ‘Temporarily Closed’ on the Disney World mobile app. There’s no telling when this attraction will reopen, so keep checking the Disney World mobile app for real-time updates.
Until then, it seems that Madame Leota, the Ghost Host, and any other Grim Grinning Ghost will have to wait.
