It’s no secret that Magic Kingdom is home to rides that have been around for decades, such as Peter Pan’s Flight, the Haunted Mansion, or Space Mountain.
The older an attraction gets, the worse it may look or feel for riders. Sometimes, Disney will do its best to maintain an attraction if it’s incredibly popular, such as the Haunted Mansion.
As for the Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid attraction, Guests have already noticed a disappointing amount of technical difficulties for a ride that’s been operating for a little over ten years.

One Guest took to social media to see if anyone else had noticed the attraction’s state, and almost immediately, the replies came pouring in.
Reddit user r/leoman3 added, “This has been going on for months.”
Reddit user r/FrozenFrac wrote “It’s such a crying shame. The Little Mermaid is easily my second favorite Disney movie and I hate how run down the attraction is. Would it really be all that hard to get these animatronics functioning properly?”

It’s truly a shame that Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid is in such bad shape because the film is easily one of the most popular Disney movies. Only time will tell if Walt Disney World is willing to fix up this fan-favorite attraction.
