Universal Orlando Resort may be losing a famous land from Disney take over.
Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are both popular theme parks, bringing thousands of Guests daily. Disney World is known for having four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. However, at Universal Orlando, Guests can visit two theme parks:Â Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, and there is a third major theme park on the way in Epic Universe.
Universal Orlando and Disney World both include water parks to help Guests beat the heat. Disney contains two water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Universal Orlando has a water park called Volcano Bay.
Universal Orlando is known for having different attractions from popular movies, tv shows, and much more. Guests heading to Universal can walk through the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Seuss Landing, Jurassic Park, Simpsons Land, and many more locations Guests can experience.
Universal will reportedly be losing the theme park rights to The Simpsons in 2028. When that happens, Disney will have the rights to The Simpsons again. Will Disney let Universal extend their contract? Most insiders believe that this will not come to fruition.

In a recent social media post,, Guests have noticed Universal Studios Orlando is not advertising The Simpsons as much anymore.
“Universal has been winding down on even selling merchandise with the Simpsons on it. There has been no upgrades or rumored expansions to the land. Universal doesn’t feature the Simpsons in any promotional aspects.”
Some Guests also think Disney would not want The Simpsons at their Parks, due to not being family-friendly.
“Just my opinion, but very off brand for Disney Parks. Beer drinking Dad that chokes his son, jokes on religion, drinking smoking Clown, itchy and scratchy lopping off heads, cursing, etc.”
If Disney takes back The Simpsons, there are many different ideas for what could come to the area at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood, including Pokemon, Zelda, and, perhaps, even Retro Universal Pictures attractions.
The Simpsons Ride gives Guests the chance to join The Simpsons on a trip to Krustyland. During the ride, you’ll grab a seat on an indoor simulated rollercoaster ride, where you’ll careen and crash through the theme park with Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie in an over-the-top, non-stop, exhilarating adventure. Keep an eye out for cameos from some of Springfield’s fan-favorite characters as you adventure through the town.
