Careful! This post is not for the faint of heart.
That’s because it includes videos of several of Disney’s dark rides–no longer in the dark.
User everythingdisney133 shares all kinds of Disney magic on TikTok. Except when he doesn’t. Like the multiple times he’s posted videos of Disney Parks attractions that are usually experienced in the dark with the lights on throughout the experience.
But then again, it’s all in how you look it.
The videos either sully the Magic for fans a little bit, or they magnify the genius that is Walt Disney Imagineering, as the lights are cast on all the tiny details and intricate workings that are found within some of the parks’ most popular and beloved attractions, like this one, which takes Guests on a journey to Neverland with the lights on aboard a galleon at Peter Pan’s Flight.
Check out the dusty and the musty, the cobwebs and even a random Cast Member standing in the (not so anymore) shadows!

Arrggghhhhh! The scurvy Pirates of the Caribbean don’t seem nearly as menacing when they are exposed in the light!

And with the lights on, Kylo Ren barely seems villainous at the Rise of the Resistance attraction at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Does having the lights on during a ride or other experience ruin the Magic for you, or do the lights allow you to be more impressed by all that goes into the attractions at the Disney Parks, especially in such a complex attraction like Rise of the Resistance?
Maybe videoing of attractions with the lights on should be prohibited at Disneyland and Disney World.
