The reality dating show mega-hit franchise has finally answered fans’ prayers. Yes, they are actually doing a senior citizen bachelor spinoff of The Bachelor! The franchise kicked off in 2002 and is famous for its dramatic moments, emotional conversations, and controversial decisions. In twenty years, 27 seasons of The Bachelor and 19 seasons of The Bachelorette (currently on number 20) have aired. So, hang on to your pacemakers, people, and get ready for The Golden Bachelor!

For context, The Bachelor franchise is a popular reality television series that revolves around a single bachelor/bachelorette looking for love among a group of contestants. Throughout the season, the bachelor goes on dates with the contestants and eliminates them one by one until he chooses one to marry.
Other spinoffs include Bachelor in Paradise, where past contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette come together in a tropical location to form new relationships. There are also Australian, Canadian, and United Kingdom versions of the reality TV show as well as various special editions. Many contestants reach further fame after appearing on the show.

Sparked by Bachelorette Gabby Windey’s beloved Grandpa John, fans saw the adorable, hilarious, and interesting possibility of having a senior citizen bachelor.

The iconic Bachelor rose slowly turns to gold while The Drifters’ ‘This Magic Moment plays.’ Yes, golden years – very clever. Will The actual roses used in The Golden Bachelor be gold? Would be interesting.
The most important part of this little teaser is that the actual Golden Bachelor will be revealed in just a few days on July 17!!
