For years, Guests visiting Disneyland Resort during Halloween time had the chance to purchase tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party. Then, in 2019, Disney did away with Mickey’s Halloween Party and created the incredible Oogie Boogie Bash — which is held at Disney California Adventure Park. Oogie Boogie Bash had to be canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic, but has been back at The Happiest Place on Earth for two years and seems to be getting more popular every year.
This year, the party sold out in less than two weeks, showing the demand that there is for a party ticket. One group who is noticing that demand is scalpers, and they are taking advantage.
Tickets for this year’s Oogie Boogie Bash ranged in price from $129, all the way to $179. However, if you were unable to get one when they went on sale, and you try to purchase one on a site like eBay, be prepared for some serious sticker shock. Below is an example of just some of the crazy prices people are asking for their tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash.
Meanwhile, on sites like StubHub, tickets are selling for $450 to more than $700 per ticket.
When a Guest buys an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket, they must put a name on that ticket. However, that does not mean that the person whose name is on the party ticket is the person who must use the ticket. The Plan Disney Panel gave more information on the transferring of tickets:
I can’t wait for the frightful fun of Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, and I’m so glad to hEAR you were able to grab tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party before they sold out! However, I’m sorry that a Guest in your group is unable to attend now. Not to worry, though – even though your ticket is currently assigned to someone else, anyone else can use that wholly-unused ticket. The ticket won’t be assigned to anyone until it’s activated at the Front Entrance Gates of Disney California Adventure Park. At that point, it can’t be assigned to anyone else. So, just have the Guest show up with the unused ticket, and they’ll be able to enter. If you have any additional ticket questions, you can call a Ticketing Cast Member at (714) 781-4636.
