A double whammy for the new Agatha-centered series…
It seems that the highly anticipated new Agatha-centered WandaVision spinoff has hit a snag in its production. Marvel Studios has recently announced that the project has been postponed and will also be renamed, leaving fans eagerly waiting for updates on its progress.
Originally titled Agatha: House of Harkness, the spinoff was set to delve deeper into the enigmatic character of Agatha Harkness, portrayed brilliantly by Kathryn Hahn in WandaVision. However, due to the ongoing SAG-Aftra and WGA strikes in Hollywood, the production has been delayed.
Not Even Magic Can Expedite This Release
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming series will now be called Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. The spinoff is set to feature a star-studded cast, including Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, David Lengel, Debra Jo Rupp, Ali Ahn, David Payton, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes. With such an incredible ensemble, fans can’t help but wonder what mysteries and surprises the project will bring to their screens.
Unfortunately, this incredible team is not able to continue to work on the show because of the strikes happening in Hollywood’s writing and acting Guilds. Talented creatives are fighting unfair work conditions from studios like Walt Disney Studios, and until an agreement is made, no movies or series will be filmed.
