New Perk Coming For DVC Members

One of the perks of being a Disney Vacations Club (DVC) owner is the ability to buy a Florida Resident Annual Pass. There’s just one problem with that…for the past few years, Annual Pass sales have been suspended (off and on) even for Florida residents. This left DVC owners without a perk they were promised and without easy access to the Parks during their sometimes multiple times a year trips to Walt Disney World. Many DVC members have felt neglected by Disney as a result.

When Annual Pass sales were announced this week, many rejoiced that they could finally become Passholders again! Others lamented because the timing was unexpected, and since Disney has developed the habit of starting and stopping Annual Pass sales at will, they may not be able to purchase this time around.

The good news for DVC owners is that those windows will be fewer and shorter. Scott Gustin recently Tweeted that the Sorcerer Pass is expected to be available for DVC members even if they are not currently on sale to the general public (including Florida residents).

DVC members will also be able to purchase their passes before everyone else. Disney World Annual Passes go back on sale to the general public (including both Florida residents and out-of-state visitors) on April 20, 2023. DVC members will be able to buy their passes on April 13, 2023! This gives them the first crack at it and, unlike for everyone else, guarantees most DVC members who want an Annual Pass will be able to get one.

This is a fantastic perk, but it’s important to note that not all DVC members qualify. Only members who purchased directly from Disney are eligible. Resale contracts are excluded from this perk.
